A great bang for your buck
This was my first time playing Raccoon Hill and while it’s not the nicest course out there, it certainly is a good course when the money is right. This is a great place to take a person golfing who doesn’t golf often. They also get you on the course quick, so don’t feel like it will be a pain to get on the course, you get in your cart and go. Very fluid. Also, the staff is quite friendly. You will have a good time if you keep expectations low.
Good course - lots of obstacles
We’ve played this course a few times this year, and easily lose 6 balls a piece. The grass is so tall, once you hit you can’t find it. Staff is awesome, course is taken care of. Difficult play, drinks are on the more expensive side (we paid $40 for six “high noons” with tip. We paid $18 at three previous courses for the same). However, golf is less expensive here so it evens out. Nice staff though!
Workers were very nice and friendly. Fairway/greens are Well kept. I would play there all the time but I live 45 minutes away.
Fun Course
Fun, short, but challenging course (6,200 from the back tees) with cool little doglegs that can be attacked if you can shape shots.
I’ve played here many times over the years and it is perhaps in the best of shape in a number of years, especially the greens. They were firm and fast (even after a few days of thunderstorms)!! Fairways were nicely cut and the rough was just right! Kudos to the grounds crew.
The staff is always cool and friendly!
Fun course!!
Fun course to play at a great value.
I always love this course. Its a great value and gives you the chance to score well. Food is always good and the bar is fun.
Worst rough I have ever seen!
We wasted a lot of time searching for balls and lost several in the tallest rough I have ever played out of. I have no clue why the rough had not been cut, but it was just plain ridiculous. I like the layout of the course as it has some interesting holes, but the rough will keep me from ever returning.
The tee boxes ALL need some attention. Nice layout, greens were decent.
Overall good time
Played the first 9 and had a blast. Now they matched my friend and I with two girls. We actually started and then had to wait to chip bc they were late. Then had a single person behind us. Other two girls were good to golf with after they showed up.
My friend and I decided to golf another 9. The starter on the back 9 was terrible. We weren’t holding anyone up and he told us we needed to do a scramble. The guys behind us drove through a sand pit. Starter said nothing to them.
Tee boxes and bunkers are in awful shape , needs worki.
