Great staff
Staff was very friendly and course was in decent shape. Kinda hard from lack of ran but greens were nice. Course is a nice mix of open and tight holes. Par 3s are tough. Good for mid-level handicappers.
Good challenge and great value
Relatively flat with appropriately landscaped humps/bumps that add some variety. Very impressed with the greens: fast and crowned. I had to really dial-up my approach shots to adjust for the roll-off...I haven't run into that at too many courses around town here. Very friendly staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Definitely will be back. FYI...the guy I paired-up with has played the course a million times---but not this year because the condition hasn't been so good---he was very impressed...said it's the best the course has looked in many, many years.
Beginners course
This is a great course for high handicappers or beginners. I live in the area and had never stopped and played until I caught it on hot deals for only $10. I was able to zip through the 6200 yard course in 3:15 while hitting several drives on each tee with a new driver. The bunkers were nothing to write home about but the staff is making the most of what they're given.
Presently Surprised!
hadn't played this course in years. Once you plaeyed the holes closest to the clubhouse, different character getting in the back to treelined holes. greens in great shape, rest of course not bad. Really enjoyed and would go back for the value and closeness to my residence. Very flat, but a lot of water to make it more challenging.
nice condition
first time played, friendly staff, course nice and green,, greens in excellent condition, nice pace of play. Course and tee boxes very clean
Average Course
Nothing about this course screams anything unique about it. The fairways were dry but the greens rolled well.
Not bad.Good greens
been a long time since i played here.Greens were in great shape.
Very nice and well-conditioned layout
Eagle's Nest was a very good experience for me. The course had a good mix of difficult and easier holes. The greens were in outstanding shape and rolled very true.
Each hole had an area in which trouble could be found but had plenty of room for a moderate miss hit to be playable. There was a good mix of open holes and "treed" holes.
The staff was very friendly. My experience at Eagle's Nest was very positive and I'll be back for another round in the near future.
If you're in the area...
This is an $18-20 course; $35 for 18/cart will be their demise. Our round (at least the front 9) was unnecessarily long with all the short par 4's and lack of a marshall to take care of business. We will go back when the price is right and course volume is low, maybe.
Sleepy Course Great Pace Hidden Gem!
Great little course off 28. In better condition than in years past. Great pace of play, great people, great fun!
Great Course and friendly but challenging
Not a very long course but there are no flat greens. The greens will challenge even single digit handicappers. Will definitely play again.
Nice shape but lots of first time golfers....
One man operation for tee times and snack bar. That being said, he was a good guy. Greens in great shape, some of the fairways are a bit bumpy, but overall in good shape. Lots of first time golfers here, so be prepared to either wait on every shot or skip a hole or two... I live very close so convenience makes sure I'll come back....
pleasant surprise
Hadn't played this course in many years because of the worsening conditions, saw it on golf now and decided to give it another try and glad I did. It was in better shape overall than I remembered and the staff was nice. Not long but plenty of water and doglegs to keep it interesting. Greens were a little slow. I will go back again.
Great value
I had been warned that this course wasn't very good to play on. Let me tell you, this was a very good course for the money. The grass was very green and taken care of, the tee areas and putting greens are in good shape. The water is a turnoff but I'm not going in after a ball anyway. I recommend this course to anyone who has thought about going.
This was the worst golf course I have ever played.
You could not pay me any amount of money to go through the suffering that I had to experience at this course again. I nearly snapped my 9 iron on the first hole because the ground was so unforgiving. I quit after 4 holes and went to a different course where 1) I would not have to wait 15 minutes in between shots and 2) I could hit a golf shot without the worry that my club would break trying to take a divot. Do not play this course, even for free.
Very much improved
The staff has done an excellent job in maintaining and improving the course. Very enjoyable. Staff was very friendly.
Nice Flat Course for the Bogey Golfer
Course overal was in pretty good condition. Greens for the most part were in very good condition, I think the rain recently has helped them in that regard. Several holes had bald spots on parts of the fairways, but overal the fairways were good. Tee boxes could have been in better shape, but not bad enough to make the holes harder.
Overall I liked this course, I am an intermediate player and I liked how flat the course was but the hole designs with doglegs and trees guaring cutting the doglegs were a nice added challenge for this course.
I would not pay full price for this course, but that's why we are on golfnow isn't it, at a discount, this is a great course to play. Even with some slower playing groups, I played 18 as a single in 3.5 hours.
great flat course
course is flat and well maintained. easy to find tee shots in fairway and rough, allows fast play. highly recommend a visit to this new addition to golfnow,
The Nest
The course is pretty short, around 6300 yards from the tips. The greens are pretty slow but in fairly good condition. The clubhouse seemed understaffed and on an unrelated note has a poor selection of balls and sells iron sets from what looked like 1980s models. The price was a little high for such a short course.
The round. We were behind a lot of really horrible golfers. Their average shot went about 80 yards. This made pace of play really slow. Fortunately we were the only group that made the turn so the back nine went much faster. On a bright note the outhouses were the nicest I have ever used.
I may return to the course but definitely will not be my first choice in its price category.
