This is my favorite course in North Central Ohio
I've played this course dozens of times and always look forward to my next round. There are some challenging holes, as well as some holes to score on if you can keep it left. The course keeps getting better too. It's just now starting to mature, which means it's getting more challenging all the time. It is well maintained and a ton of fun. My only complaint is the lack of respect shown by other golfers. Maybe it's just a side effect of golf's popularity this year, but the course is suffering from disrespect. Ball marks not getting repaired, giant gouges far beyond what one would call a divot, litter, cigarette butts, and even chunks of green damaged from clubs angrily being slammed into them. Hopefully that's not a trend that will continue.
Great condition
If tou like to play a course where you can hit the ball to a location on the green and stick it, i highly recommend playing this course. I shot a 72 which is just a bit better than my normal average. Course has a vouple driveable par 4's drom the white tees which will make for a couple easy birdies. All around great golf course to play!
Lots of elevated greens ... hit one more club
Newer course, pretty good shape for the hot, dry summer we've had this year. Greens were exceptional and obviously have been watered perfectly. Good shape, putted well and held balls. Fairways were firm and tee balls rolled out nicely making for shorter shots into most par-4 holes. Many greens were elevated ... and not a little bit, but enough for approach shots to be clubbed up 1 or even 2 clubs to get all the way to the hole.
Nice layout and the biggest feature is definitely the elevated greens. Miss greens deep and you'll pay. Missing short was much better. Due to a less-than-mature course, errant drives didn't make you pay much. Again, the greens were in really nice condition and had been watered just the right amount to hold approach shots. They putted nicely, too.
good course layout
I really liked the overall openness of the course layout, while having a couple of narrow tree lined fairways (such as 9) to have
Challenge the golfer. The length is also good for the novice and older golfers like me. While the day was very hot there was a good breeze on the course and I ended the day refreshed. The greens are in excellent condition, some of the best I've seen, with good speed. Will definitely play again.
Get challenging course hidden in a great area.
A friend and I played from a golfnow tee time. Price was great. The weather was terrible, but the course was in great shape for how wet it was. Very challenging Par 5's on both 9 and 18. Only downfall was the course was spraying chemicals and the marker foam made finding the ball a challenge.
This course is in great shape
Course was a little wet, but that was to be expected because it was a rainy day. We had a great time and staff was friendly.
Witnessed my friend's first HOLE IN ONE!
Not only was the course in excellent condition and the weather awesome (for March in OH!), my 70 yr old buddy made his first hole-in-one! Great day!
Ohio Dry
We played from the gold tees as we are seniors. The greens were very good and well maintained. The rest of the course was very hard from no watering (irrigation) or rain. We still had a great day. Ball rolled a lot and took some crazy bounces. We live in Hartville, Oh so it was a 1hr /20min drive one way. My golf buddy and I don't mind a longer drive if the price is right.
Fantastic Bargain
Beautiful course that was very well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful, cart paths made it easy to find the next hole location (certain courses are a bit more confusing,) and it was an overall great experience. Only complaint was the pair behind us that decided teeing off while we were in the middle of the fairway was a good idea..but that doesn't go against my rating as it wasn't the courses' fault LOL. Will definitely be back!
awesome place
Wonderful course,,still a young course but love golfing it,,the staff and owner are very good people and care about there customers
Great Course
I have played course before brought 3 om my golfing friends and they were really impressed. We will be playing the course again
Very good course
Great fun course. Young trees is my only complaint. When they grow older each hole will be more private and add to the experiance
Great layout, hard and fast conditions!
The course starts out with a long par 5 down hill to an elevated green. The layout was great with a great mix of short par 4's and short par 3's. The ground was rock hard but does allow some great roll on your tee shots. Would play this course again because of the layout and pace of play was just over 2 hours for 18.
The only compliant was the guy at the counter tried to charge me $34 when my golfnow price was at $25. Told him to call golfnow to work things out with them. Guy at the counter came back with how about only $30 and told him paying $25 or I'm leaving. Settled on $21 for some reason. Worked out in the end, because the course was worth it.
Great staff very nice people
Course is good condition and a challenge to play, I have played this course a lot and have always had a good experience, the staff is great and the food good, they also treat their league golfers great
Nice Day at Oak Tree Golf Club
A cloudy day but rain held off until we finished the round in the late afternoon. Plenty of rain has left the course lush and green and few damp spots to avoid in the rough. Traps were in good shape, Greens a little slower than usual. Staff always friendly. A good brat for lunch at the patio. Main problem is the cart paths in the fairway areas need lots of work as they have deteriorated into crumbling pieces of asphalt. Get those repaved and cut the greens a little and you have a very nice course. Nines are organized to have three easy, three moderately difficult and three long and difficult holes which makes for great play and chance to score.
Good time
Had a good time at a nice course, staff was very helpful a and course was in great shape
