Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

The course it’s self was in better condition than previous times played but would be at the bottom when compared to other courses in area. Lots of goose poop everywhere. Tee boxes were a little muddy. Fairways were nothing special. Greens were good but practice green was way faster than any green on course. Carts are still extremely annoying with the gps system and constant beeping and very slow. The only staff there was the man at pro shop that had no info on anything. Did not know if I was paired up with anyone or groups, I booked and went as a single. No starter to get people together and out on course playing. Groups that booked a 845 time were teeing off before others that booked a 820 tee time. Was very confusing and had to wait a good amount of time just to tee off and start. The ranger did show up but not really helpful. Pace of play was good. Did not get help up by anyone or any groups. Overall this course has a good layout and potential but needs a lot of work to make it worth the amount of money that is charged to play. For the price you can go to any other course in the area and have a much better time and experience. Would I recommend this place. Yes but only if you get a hot deal for $25 for 18 holes with a cart included. That’s all this course is worth paying.
Find somewhere else
Really is a shame. Very nice layout, but overall don’t waste your money. Crabgrass everywhere, rocks in every trap, and incredibly overpriced. $62 for late afternoon is crazy when you can go to town over and play Valley Brook for 40. Only went here today, because the front and never played, needless to say we won’t be back.
Trashy front desk service.
I live on this course and it is a shame. Rude, Clueless, personnel. Geese are so bad on this course it’s not worth playing. Not worth $20 let alone $50-$60
Do not play here
Terrible course, too close tee off times and greens were in bad condition. Save your money and go to mini golf instead this place
Awful
Only positive about this course is the layout. Otherwise, complete waste of money. $70+ to play is a joke. Staff is not friendly, marshal is non-existent, pace of play is terrible. Round took close to 6 hours. Such a shame because this could be a really great course if the people that ran it actually took care of it.
Ok right now
I like the course layout and it is longer than I thought ..it is early spring so I expected them to grow in some bare areas but I didn’t see any grass seed. Also it has some geese and geese droppings on some holes.
Course is an absolute dump, should only be worth $20, people playing hitting 3 balls, practicing putting on the greens, its a joke to call it a golf course, course should be closed permanently
Last resort
If you can book a tee time anywhere else I suggest you do that. Booked a 9am walking 18 hole tee time. Got paired up with 3 others in carts. Did not attempt to tee off till 930am due to waiting on others that had 930am and 945am tee times. Then when I was about to tee off the ranger made me play with another single that was walking the 18 and there was 2 foursomes in front of him so did not actually tee off till 10am. Course has a nice layout but conditions are bad. I have never seen so much goose poop on a course ever. Every time I play here it’s disappointing and I will not be returning or recommending anyone to play at this course.
Prepare to get screwed
This course will double book you like crazy. We booked a 12:30 tee time and didn’t tee off until almost 2 pm. They don’t care about their customers and they let the members play in groups of 8 or 10 or whatever they want. Course is bad anyway and not worth waiting for. Avoid at all costs. Employees are also huge jerks
Next to Last Day of Year Golf
When you get 55 degrees at the end of December, you take what you can get.
So I'm weighting my review for that situation and recognize that the course did the best they can while trying to accommodate as many eager golfers as possible while navigating a long frost delay. So getting to play 12 holes (at full 18-hole price) is just cost-of-doing-business on a bonus golf day.
Front nine layout is solid and I would like to play again under regular conditions where you could normal get distance on shots. Greens were slow but that's typical for winter and were actually in pretty good shape. Nice mix of holes.
Didn't see the entire back nine but tighter and hole 13 is just ridiculous with nowhere to hit the second shot for mere mortals. So I hit my drive (a good one) and picked it up and left as it was getting colder and my playing companions quit the prior hole. But I drove back to the clubhouse past the remainder of the hole and they were nothing special. But it looks like a decent course which I'll play again in summer.
Awful Carts
The course was meh. back nine is super tight. The carts are annoying. If you get even remotely close to a hazard or OB it shuts the cart off for a minute. Be faster and less frustrating to walk.
Good course
This course stacks up well to local courses near by.
That with the challenge of play of the first 9 holes. That is all we played. I have played all 18 once and enjoyed it! Greens are well kept.
Only downside is golf carts are very slow and clubhouse is very dated. I do love the GPS and ball distance on the golf carts. A port a pot around hole 6 would be excellent!!
