Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

Course has so much potential
For 74$ per person…the gps on the carts are horrendous. The cart path on four was washed away over a year ago and it’s still a coned off mess. There’s grab grass galore. Geese crap all over. The cart lady was miserable. Was so disappointed
Conditions were below a average, but greens were good
Nice layout - needs a few millions to make it an exceptional course
Playing again, no
Solid Track
For the money, this course is great. The greens were rolling way faster than you'd expect. There are a lot of geese, but they eventually move. I think we paid about $50pp and it was well worth it.
Disappointed by this place again
I got a good price and its close to my house otherwise I really don’t like Wedgewood. The Tee boxes and fairways are in very bad condition. They installed the worst GPS system possible in the carts. It gives you distance but no map of the Hole and they have a Geofence system that disables the cart if you violate it, and constantly beeps at you if you get near it. But there is no actual signage telling you where you can’t drive most of the time so its just a guessing game. Seemed like they have several holes that are cart path only but no signs indicating that, and it would even beep at you when you were on the cart path sometimes getting close to the hole. Also no drink cart was out.
Not Worth Full Price
It's a fine course that has a lot of potential with it's layout but there are so many other options in the area for a better price and better course conditions. At $74 full price I shouldn't see crab grass all over the fairway and especially not on the fringe of the green. Carts are terribly slow and the gps lockdown added 15 minutes to our round because we couldn't even go on the fairway without it locking us out half the time. The greens were nice but unfortunately the practice green didn't match the speed at all. Should be $55 max.
Poor conditions
For the price you expect better conditions. Tee boxes and fairways rough in many areas. Layout was fun but can’t justify the cost.
Fine for the money - annoying carts
Decent course in nice shape if you can ignore the goose poop everywhere. The biggest downfall was the geofencing on the golf carts. It shuts down your cart but there’s no signage to tell you where to go. Staff was cool, bar was great.
Falling Apart
I used to play at wedg a lot. Like, once a week a lot. It was always an interesting 50's layout that was rough around the edges. It's still an interesting 50's layout, but at this point I'm not sure if they even have any groundscrew or groundskeeping budget. Every bunker was simply dirt and rocks - so shallow you'd bottom out on the base and could see drainage pipes. Fairways were more clover than fairway. Looks like the green on number 3 is a few good rainstorms away from falling into the pond. Geese have eaten every sembalnce of grass around that hole as well, contributing to erosion.. Played after a rainy week, but somehow the fairways were harder than the parking lot. Back 9 greens in the woods (10-11, 17-18 are dying, probably bc they're in the woods (no fans, no light. trim!!). Don't get me started on the GPS on the carts - no idea why they ring a doorbell every 2 seconds.
Pros: Greens, while firmer than an underripe avocado, are in okay shape and still decently puttable. Fringe is non-existent though and good luck chipping. Tees were decent, and the pro shop guy is/was super friendly.
We got a hot deal for $40 and I'm satisfied with that price, but anything near their "normal" rates is robbery. Too bad - if someone put some effort in this could be a very decent place to spend a day.
Excelente course
Being the first time playing this course, it was a great experience. It’s a pleasant course to play for beginners and season players.
