Timberview Golf Club
About
Timberview Golf Club rolls across a diverse landscape that is ideal for a challenging round. The rolling terrain is covered with mature trees, ponds, and creeks. There is a housing development surrounding the golf course, but the houses do not intrude into the game. The layout features seven holes that were carefully carved from the dense forests and fourteen holes with water hazards coming into play. The course has a good balance of player-friendly holes and more challenging holes. The wide fairways are well manicured and the undulating greens are medium in size. In addition to the water and trees, sand fiercely guards the greens on half of the holes. The layout is still gentle enough to appeal to beginners. Timberview also offers two practice putting greens.

Great time
I had an amazing round yesterday. Staff was super nice! lots of fun holes. I will be back
This course is very affordable
Timberview is a great course to get out without breaking the bank. I’ve been going there for years. It’s nice to have an 18 hole course the doesn’t cost $50+ a round. They’ve made the greens a little better this year and it’s not a bad course. I heard a rumor they may be turning the back 9 into a par 3 course. I prefer it just the way it is and would love to see them keep fixing it up maybe even find a way to make a par 72
Perfect course to play solo
I’ve played here a couple times now. Usually they only charge about 15-20 bucks for 18. I used a hot deal tee time/discounts to play for 1.99! I don’t care if I’m playing on concrete, that’s a great deal to golf anywhere.
The course itself is harder than a rock so you have to play everything short into the hole or it will run (more like bounce) off the back. The greens themselves are very small and very slow when putting. The course layout actually is somewhat challenging as the course is heavily surrounded by neighboring houses. They sprinkle in a couple dog legs, that can be tricky too. The par 3s are all pretty straightforward.
This course is perfect for somebody trying to get a quick round in (I played it with a cart in just over 2 hours and 10 minutes). The pace of play is fast. This is a good course to come work on your game, play two balls and work on some shots that have been giving you trouble as you don’t feel rushed.
If there’s one thing I wish Timberview would improve is their cart paths! Very well could be the bumpiest ride in all of Ohio and that’s saying something…. Stay on the grass lol.
Needs a lot of work
The tee boxes and greens are in such bad shape. There is so much potential with this course. However the maintenance of the course has been miserable for many years.
Great Value
This is one of my favorite budget courses to get a round in without breaking the bank.
Why?
I get that it was a nice day and people wanted to be out golfing. But you have absolutely no drainage and your FULL PRICE "cart path only" is absolute bull when the cart paths themselves are just muddy death traps for carts.
Send out walkers only, that's fine. But letting carts out after 2 inches of rain with the worst drainage I've ever seen on a golf course, is an awful awful decision. Especially when you're charging full price.
I'm not even going to get in to the greens. But suffice it to say "awful" covers it.
Get what you pay for
All holes have temporary tee boxes. Greens aren't great. But the price with a cart can be had for less than $15 if watch for the hot deal. You can play a round for less than a large bucket of balls.
A Ride in the Park
Overall, it was refreshing to be outdoors. The weather was fine, just a little breezy, but windy at times. We played the course since it close to where one on us lives and the cost was only $25 w/cart. The course was nice enough and playable, it had winter tees. Of course, we should have scored better, but we had a lot of three putts. Oh well, it's fall weather, lots of fallen leaves, but it was still good to get outside.
Overall review
Timberview continues to keep prices affordable. Great course for someone starting out or for someone needing to practice .Course is challenging on holes .Greens could use a little more TLC .I would recommend anyone that wants to just practice or looking for a deal ,this is course for that .
Low prices are the upside here
The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the price to play here is as cheap as you’ll find, but there’s a reason for that. The greens are covered in patches of dirt and the fairways are the same length as the rough so it’s all just pretty crappy grass. Nice people, but a rough course to play without much maintenance
What Happened?
Been years since played last time. The worst course conditions I think I have played…used to be far better. Can’t even enter your scores into the USGA handicap platform as the have no tee ratings.
