snow covered and frozen
Surprised course was open, 3 greens snow covered, 3 other greens ice,
Nice course normally, . Due to recent snow as well rains course was not good.
You advertised with cart, conditions would not allow , I understand but this clearly changed the value
Good winter course
Typical winter golf, the fairways and greens were frozen, but they were clean of debris and goose droppings. The ball bounced straight on the frozen fairways and the greens for the most part were even and ran true.
Good round considering the recent rain
Course was in good condition considering all the rain we’ve had recently. Finished our round in 3 hours which is unusual for this course since they book tee times 8 minutes apart which generally leads to very slow pace of play.
Cranbury is a Dump!
This golf course has seen better days with many parts of the club and grounds being left marginally cared for.
Always a fun round
The course was in great shape for this time of year. The bar / restaurant has excellent food and drinks; the Bloody Mary’s are awesome.
Bring a leaf blower
There are leaves all over the course. Having played fall golf on a number of courses none of them were like Cranbury.
Just way too many leaves, on fairways, in the rough and on the greens.
Many bunkers were FULL of water. Unplayable.
I’ll return to a Cranbury but not until next spring,!
This course is on the shorter side and probably more for the beginner golfer. Played early on a Sunday morning and it seemed like everyone there was a regular at that time. The layout is solid....a good mix of different holes. The greens were average and the fairways and tees I would have to give a below average. But lots of courses in NJ are having the same moisture problems this year. The starter and the check-in people were very friendly and welcoming.
Not the Cranbury I remember
Played this course over 20 years ago and remember a perfect day with excellent conditions. Arrived for our 10 AM tee time and found out the course was still closed due to frost. That backed up about 50 or more golfers. Our delay was over an hour. The starter did not offer a back 9 start despite our offer to just play 9 holes. Most of the tee boxes were bare and many bunkers had no trace of sand. Lots of bare spots around greens. Some of the cart paths were in awful shape. On the plus side, the restaurant had a good menu and food. Service was very good. With many well maintained courses in the area, no need to return to this dog track.
good course to play
car path only..due to wetness..tee boxes not good fairways ok..greens in excellent shape..one or two greens with lack of grass/patches of dirt..can tell this course experienced weather problems this year due to rain and sun..
Becoming a cow pasture
This place used to be good for a nice, fairly easy round. A year ago the course was in wonderful shape. Now??? Not even close. They're now on their 3rd manager since the previous manager resigned last November, and the place is getting run down quickly. The bar/restaurant has become mediocre at best - and the food used to be outstanding.
The golf course though is really beaten up. Fairways have large (and growing) grassless patches. Tee boxes are fair at best. Most of the greens were in decent to good shape, but too many have clear circles/markings from previous hole placements.
So much potential, but it just isn't good right now. Hopefully the latest manager will kick it up a notch or three
average for a public course
tee boxes were beat up
pathways were a disaster.
Friendly staffs, great value and amazing pace of play. Exactly three hours a round for a twosome.
Course is still in decent shape.
Greens and Fairways in good condition. Tee boxes and cart paths need work.
Fun little course
Interesting mix of holes. Short course, but with long, fantastic par 3s. Enjoyable.
