All around great day!!
Course was in great shape. All the greens rolled true and moderately fast. Fairways and tees were in excellent shape. Sand traps were raked and good to play out of. Had a great time. Can not wait to come back
The course is hilly and has a number of dog leg turns. The greens were in great shape.
This course has lost a lot of trees---perhaps because of the ash disease. As a result, it is not nearly as difficult as it once was. I also think the yardages cited on the score card are a bit exaggerated from how the course plays. I did enjoy my round, however.
Nice course for the money
Course has some shallenging holes. Conditions were pretty good. Couse lost a lot of trees on the front nine, which opened up holes 1,4 and 6 which was for the better. Greens were true and well kept.
The course is very challenging
The course was very wet. I did not expect that. The bunkers were at times unplayable. It was very disheartening how many trees have been lost. The greens rolled on the faster side and were very true. It was very difficult finding balls in the rough:( Partner lost balls that should have been easy to find. We really had to mark balls from the tees.
Amazing shape
We were really pleased with the condition of the course. The fairways and greens were better than most, if not all, the other public courses I've played. There were a couple of ground under repair areas, but 95%+ of the lies in the fairway were great. Some really interesting holes. I highly recommend this course.
This is a great course about 35 mins west of Columbus that's rarely packed due to the distance, but well worth the drive.
Always well maintained. It used to be a very tight challenging course, but a number of Ash tress were recently removed, which opened it up a bit. Still challenging on many holes and well worth the trip!
An interesting layout with some challenging holes
I enjoyed playing Indian Springs but will not likely drive that far to play it again this year. There are too many courses that are as good or better closer to my central Ohio home.
Nice design has probably seen better days
Staff was very helpful and nice. Interesting course with elevation changes and water making for some challenging shots. Conditions are not the best. Many bare spots in fairways. It looks like they have been cutting down some trees to help get more light to the grasses. Rough is very deep and penal. Greens were in pretty good shape.
Good but could be better
Quite surprised at all the trees that had to be cut down due to emerald ash bore issue - definitely changes the difficulty of the cours. A lot of traps are missing sand and there are some major tire tracks that exist due to the tree removal. Greens were very good though considering the late spring we have experienced. Otherwise, a great layout and enjoyable course to play.
Avery very nice course and a good challenge for a 15 handicap
I have played Indian spring several time each year for the past 4 years. The course was in good shape, the fairways had lots of excess grass from being mowed. The biggest disappointment for me was the loss of so many beautiful huge mature trees on several holes due to ash beetle. I bet they have lost 50 trees that were in the 100 year old age range, and another 50 at least 40 years old.....stupid beetle.
Remodeling?
Played mid-April. Course was soaking wet with severely flooded out areas that were almost impassable. Tons of forest area is being cut down for what I can only guess is part of a major overhaul. Fairways were in pretty rough shape. Greens were still showing aeration from last fall. Perhaps in a month or so this course will be in much better shape but right now it looks like there is a ton of work that needs to be done. Hopefully this place gets things under control, it's one of my favorites but it's time to step it up a notch. Also, the carts are showing their age and definitely need to be replaced. Now that I'm done pointing out all that needs attention. For those that haven't played here, it's a very fun and challenging layout and I would definitely recommend it if it can be had at a reasonable price.
Great time not too crowed.
Nice, green rolling course that has its easy holes for the casual golfer and has challenging holes for the more serious golfer. A hidden gem.
The course is beautiful, and well maintained.
The course is in excellent condition this early in the golf season. The fairways were in great shape, and the greens were mowed, and rolled true.
gem out west
Haven't been to Indian springs since they closed one of the three nine hole courses. Now just 18 holes. Shame too since the 18 was so nice. Course was in better shape than basically any other course I've played. Long challenging holes. Also demands pretty straight drives. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were really nice. No dead areas, cut short and soft. This gets my "best of the summer" vote. Better than Oakhurst country club. Better than Raymond, Champions, and Turnburry, (i consider these the best of the city courses.) Definetly won't wait years before I return this time.
Worth the drive.
Excellent layout. Course is in exceptable condition. If in pristine condition would be in my opinion a top 10 public course in Ohio. Always a good time playing Indian Springs.
greens fast. used all clubs. course is tough.
plenty of golf course. greens were very slick. challenging shots all over the place. used all clubs
Very challanging!
One of the better courses in Central Ohio. Staff was very friendly
Good Greens but strange layout on some holes
The greens were in excellent shape. The rest of the course was moderately maintained. A few of the par 4 holes required an iron to be played on the tee to get a good second shot. The course was not crowded and had a lot of senior players playing from short tees.
