Fast greens to be found here!
My friends I really like this course. We try to play once or more a year. The staff is awesome. Very friendly and courteous. The course was in as good of shape as could be expected considering the recent rain. It was wet in spots, but they were still letting carts go off the paths. The greens are excellent. Very challenging and fast. If you think where you play has slow greens, then come give these a try. The speed of the greens combined with the topography make them a true test.
We will be back. Great value through Golf now.
Still best course layout and best value in central Ohio
I just love this course. The layout is best in Ohio. Course looks great for this time of year. Greens were true and fast. Definitely my favorite track. If I lived closer I would play every day
Beautiful Course and Great Staff
After the horrible Winter we had the course was in good shape for ithe weather just now starting to turn. The greens played pretty fast which was a fun challenge. A lot of the holes demand placement especially on the greens. Great variety of holes with different challenges. I cannot wait to visit again with the course in mid-season form.
My favorite course while I am in ohio
I do not miss to play this course while I am in ohio. I played the course in scatter rain. The course is maintained and I enjoyed the par 5 holes which were 515 and 601 yards. The course does need to save grass 1 feet from the fairway.
great day
I liked the course even though it is a longer than normal drive from my house
a nice variety of holes and length of them
very good shape. quiet, no houses, or traffic. greens rolled true, fairways in good shape. we played in just over 3.5 hours. well worth the drive from columbus. would definately play again.
Fast greens!
Played at 730am on a Monday not realizing front nine greens were being aerated. Dan at the course did a great job and had his workers stop aerating on number two so we could at least start on 3 and not have to play the back nine twice. Course was as usual in fantastic shape with the fast but fair greens. Suggestion on all holes: stay below the pins! Putts will roll fair but far!!
The highlight of the game were the greens, they were very challenging. The course is very non-descript.
This is what we would call a "minimalist" course. Pace of play was good. Greens were well maintained for end of season. The course and the carts and cart paths need alot of work. No services on the course . We were left wondering alot of times if the cart was going to start up again....
Excellent course!
From the 1st tee box to the 18th green was in remarkable shape. All tee boxes were mowed to a nice height, there was no dry patches or dirt only areas around. Fairways were clean and cut just right. Greens were just fast enough and had the right amount of difficulty. This was one of the nicest courses I have played in the past couple years!
Mr
hard and fast great greens worth the drive scenic challenging and fun to play
The course is a well kept secret.. It's one of the nicest courses in the Dayton area
I enjoyed the course an although I didn't score as well as I would have liked, I loved the course.
Difficult
This is a very challenging course, whether you play from the whites, blue or blacks. Course plays much longer than it's advertised for. Pace can be slow if you get stuck behind hacks, that should be on an easier course.
Only a couple spots on the course could use some attention. Carts could be updated as well.
NIce little course tucked away in the countryside. Worth checking out.
This is a great course for the average golfer. The course is not really difficult but works well for golfers of all skill levels. I arrived in the morning and was able to play a quick round with very little people on the course. I would recommend going in the morning to play the course when it is untouched and a quick round. Also, the staff is super friendly.
Played well, must be new owners because they removed a lot of old dying trees and the fairways/greens are in much better shape
My first time at Indian Springs this year so it was a good treat for the price.Played well, must be new owners because they removed a lot of old dying trees and the fairways/greens are in much better shape than they used to be. Staff and a couple players were kind enough to let me on first even though my tee time was later. Playing solo and early AM, it was easy to finish in around just over 2 hrs with no one right in front of me. That's the way the game OUGHT to be played. Played 39-42 for a total 81, putts kept me from breaking 80.
Worth the drive.
Very good course design, challenging but fair. Greens in great condition. Some fairway grass issues but not a big deal. Only issue was very slow pace of play. A foursome held up the whole course, no ranger.
Fantastic Course, definitely worth playing!
Beautiful and challenging course. Well worth the time and money to play this course. Can play over 7000 yards but even if you play it from the shorter yardage it is still plenty challenging. What a fun course. Played it in pouring rain and it was still a blast. Can't wait to go back and play it again. The course is one of the best maintained courses I have played.
Thar's sand in them thar bunkers
The owner invested in good sand recently, and the traps are in useful positions. I only bring this up because this is not true of most central Ohio courses where they are either overtaken by dirt and or are only useful for snagging terrible shots.
In addition the trees are maturing nicely and add greatly to the defense. The only thing I would change are the overabundant grass clippings on the fairways. Greens were good speed and were well maintained. Hundreds of mature trees have been sawed off at the stump and those stumps should be removed. Not to worry, there are still plenty of trees so you have to respect them.
Best holes are the par 5 6th where 5 is a good score, and the par 3 6th over a lake of blooming water lilies and a voracious front bunker. Every hole can bite you but the birdies are there if you avoid trouble. Love this course.
Good course, nice blend of holes. Good challenge.
Good course, in best shape I have seen it in years. Many large trees removed since I last played. Not as visually intimidating as before, but makes course more playable and enjoyable. Very good greens. An excellent value for the money.
Quick round
I enjoy playing fast. 18 holes in 3 hours on a Saturday morning. Great.
Great, Fun Course
We had a great time playing this course. From my recollection, the course was in in good shape with no major problems or concerns. On this day, we were the only group on the course and had no issues being pushed. The staff in the clubhouse were friendly.
Great value in my opinion and worth the drive from Columbus.
