Great track for last minute round. Great mix of length an accuracy demands. Will be better when it dries out and will be able to get off cart path only.
Course is still in good condition late in the season....better than other courses I played this month....
Had some rain the night before leaving a few wet spots, so it was cart path only
Greens are in great shape
Greens are in excellent shape. Been thru a lot of courses lately where the weather has caused rough course conditions. Not here, well kept.
Front nine is quite open and forgiving. Back nine is noticably more narrow and a bit more challenging I think. Only downside I felt was the asphalt cart path runs the entire length of the course. You're going to end up hitting it and scuffing a ball or two. Just hit every fairway and green in regulation and you'll be fine! Lol
Disgusting hot dogs at the turn
The course was ok. What prompted me to write a review was how disgusting the food service at this place is.
Making the turn let's get a couple of hot dogs we said. What a big mistake. The course was pretty busy and it was 12pm exactly...how do you not have hot dogs ready to go when it's your only food item on your menu besides chips and candy bars???
What was provided to us was borderline disgusting. The hotdogs were half frozen in the cooler...I could see the frost on them as she pulled them out. The lady puts the half frozen hot dog into a bun and microwaves it for 1 minute. What the heck is this....microwaved hot dogs at a golf course? There's a hot dog steamer right there and I asked about it and she didn't say it was broken. She takes the hotdogs out of the microwave and whatever...I take a bite...still frozen in the middle. She puts in for another minute and I just throw it away...it was really gross.
The lady behind the counter struggled to handle the workload of 3 groups of 4 golfers at one time. It must be hard to refill a pitcher of beer and microwave some hot dogs. Speaking of, no wonder she was so backed up microwaving 1 hotdog at a time for all of the people in line in front of us. Why she couldn't microwave 5 or 6 or 10 hotdogs at once is beyond me. Making the turn took 25 minutes of waiting on these nasty hot dogs from this place. How about next time (there won't be a next time for me) you prepare yourself and have the hot dogs thawed out and if you're hot dog steamer isn't working....wait for it...boil them 5 or 6 at a time.
Green and lush
Highly recommend this track. Been playing PV for many years, and it just gets better. Fabulous conditions, greens were true and faster than usual. A bit rough riding the cart paths as they are in need of repairs, but considering the choice of investing in the maintenance of the course or the asphalt, they made the right choice. As nice or nicer than more expensive courses like Pine Hills or Shale Creek. Back 9 is the real deal, every hole has its challenges- especially the final three. You won’t be disappointed.
Foursome ahead of us refused to let us go ahead at turn despite us waiting at every tee box while they tee off, and clubhouse is old and small, but course itself was in great condition. Cart paths could use some help, but would definitely play here again.
Good condition/ good value for your buck
Played early on a Monday. Only two groups ahead of us, but we never saw them. We played as a 2 some and finished just over 3 hours. Course is in great shape, greens are nice. Tee boxes need some work but not bad like other courses in the area.
Will definitely be back.
Great Course Great Weather
Teed of at 1:15 and played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours. Course was in excellent condition and the greens were fast but true. The rough was cut fairly short so there was not much of a penalty for missing the fairway. The sand traps were in good condition. Overall a pleasant day at Pleasant Valley.
Excellent layout and in very good condition. Would suggest that they replace the worn out cart paths with shells or something similar. Really can’t even drive on most of them.
Too cheap to put more than 1 water cooler on the whole course and the snack bar sucks. Won't play here if I can help it
Very nice course
The lace of play at this course is always excellent. Very well maintain.
The course was in good shape and the pace of play was fast. Had great time.
Fun layout, really good greens.
I live out of state, I have played this course for a second time. The course starts off a little ho-hum but really comes into it a nice layout which I enjoy. We had a good time and had perfect weather on a late October Saturday.
Small issue at end of round that I will take responsibility for but staff member could choose to be a little more diplomatic. As mentioned living 8 hours away and choosing to come back to this course says something about the course itself.
