unplayable
Played a couple times this year and enjoyed the course. But today, it was basically unplayable. Rock hard greens, fairways and roughs burned out - all dirt and weeds. On 7th tee, we checked golfnow and found a tee time at Fowlers (15 minutes away), booked it, picked up our balls and left. Didn't even want to finish up the 1st nine even though we booked and payed for 18. Smart decision.
Rough Conditions Prevail
Hadn't played this course in 15 years. Now I know why. Greens were decent, albeit a little slow. If those fairways are bent, I'm Arnold Palmer. Overall, it is a pleasant locale. But the quality of the course is about a 4 out of 10.
Grandview - Middlefield, OH
The greens were in good condition. The ball rolled smoothly with little bounce or irregular change in direction. A few were rough around the fringe though.
The fairways were good in some areas and rough in others. More water and treatment would improve that.
Overall, fun course to play with good mix of makeable holes and challenging ones too.
Excellent value
Course was in great shape and worth the drive.Have not played there in about 5 yrs. and was pleasantly surprised with what they have done.. Wife really enjoyed playing there.
Excellent Course with Challenging Greens
Well maintained, friendly staff, reasonable prices ... challenging greens the best part of this course.
Quirky course.
I really enjoyed this course! The staff was really friendly and took a few extra minutes to give me a rundown of the course. Tough greens, but a tremendous layout offering some really great views and elevation changes. It was wet in places because it rained the day prior and during the day before I played, but it was very playable. I would love to play there again soon and to check out the restaurant.
Quiet. Well designed.
One of best money worth public course around in my opinion.
my private golf course
some challenging par 3's,supersonic greens, some rough rough but still an enjoyable time and value.
Soggy but fun
With all the rain this summer the course was spongy in parts. I played the back nine which is in a little rougher shape that the front. The greens were in excellent condition but the fairways were short but had some areas under repair. Hole 11 has been ubder repair for 2 or 3 years it seems but the rest of the nine wasn't bad if you kept the ball in the fairway.
I like that it seldom is too crowded. I wasn't pushed nor could I catch up with the twosome ahead of me. Fun and fair course without tricked up greens.
nice view at grandview
Nice, fair golf course. Looks and feels like a golf course should. No tricked up, gimmick holes.
Best shape in last 10 years
Always a favorite for layout & views with the plus that the greens and fairways were lush and fast. A good combination for a well played shot. The play pace and staff were great! Looking forward to the fall golf.
Hidden gem
This was a pleasant surprise. This course is cut out of a rural Amish community. It has a very laid back atmosphere, complete with horse and carriage passing through certain holes. It almost feels more like a state park than a golf course. They never seem to be too crowded, and they are always friendly and accommodating.
The layout is quite a good one. A great mix of challenging holes, and scoring opportunities. Definitely not boring, and some of the holes are a real challenge. A 640 yard par 5 comes to mind, as well as a couple long par 3s.
Greens are in great shape, and have lots of big sweeping breaks.
The course is a little rough in some spots. The fairways are not pristine in some parts, and the course has minimal markings that tell you where the next hole is, which can be a bit confusing. Obviously minor issues that can be overlooked.
Grandview is an appropriate name as well. This course features some beautiful vistas and scenery. Check it out!
This course has several sloping greens
The sloping greens on several holes meant you better not get above the hole or else be ready for more strokes. The 1st hole is a long par 3 that parallels the road so better not slice. The 10th hole is a very challenging and reasonably long par 3 with water in front of the green. Play as a par 4 unless you are a long and straight.
A bit rough
The front nine was mowed better, grass in rough was not long. Back nine however was much harder once off the fairway. Rough was long, bare places on the fairways, broken surfaces on cart path, just generally not as well tended.
Worth Playing
Course was in good condition. Rough a little long and I am sure it was due to the recent rains we have had. Cart paths are in need of repair greens are fast and you will use every club in your bag. Over all a decent course.
Nice needs a little work with cart paths
Fun course greens very tricky and fast. Differently play it again.
good average course
I played at 630am. Got around very quick. Greens are very tricky. Some beatup fairways, but very nice variety of holes. Worth going back.
This was a great course
This was a good trek. It played well. The first hole was a par 3 and a very tough one. the greens were elevated so you had to take more club in some instances.
Great Del!
Great little track, good value, has come a long way in the past few years since the new owners took over. Cart paths and tee boxes still need some work, greens were very good.
Cart paths need work
Course is a fun lay up course. Challenging greens but that makes it fun.
