The Trout Club
About
The Trout Club (formerly known as Licking Springs Golf Club) sprawls across a scenic landscape of rolling hills dotted with natural springs that is also home to an abundance of wildlife. Jack Kidwell, a local course architect who has played in role in many of Ohio's golf courses, designed the challenging layout. The course has a traditional design covered with mature trees, which are especially concentrated along the fairways. The undulating greens provide excellent putting surfaces. Their small size and quick speed will test your short game skills. The course is definitely a shotmaker's layout, placing a heavier emphasis on the placement off of the tee rather than distance. It is a layout that requires careful course management and skillful strategy. In addition to the golf course, The Trout Club offers two practice putting and chipping greens as well as a public swimming pool.

Front nine is nice…
Back nine remains treacherous…. Course has improved over the past few years and the staff is nice and friendly. The back nine is just kind of a mess… the restaurant is really good …
Back 9 does not play well
It seemed like their were 2 different courses. Front nine was very well designed. It seemed like the back nine was laid out to fit it in. Also, turf was great on the front nine. Back nine was not as nice. No where to get lunch after the round. Restaurant /Bar not open until 4. Ery hard to have a 19th hole
A couple of greens have large areas of un-puttable surfaces but overall the cpurse /layout/ and hospitality gives it a 5 star. Plus $38 for a Sunday afternoon is a steal.
Tough cpurse
Tough cpurse with fast greens. Layout is great, plenty of elevation changes. On top of the cpurse being great the guy behind the counter is awesome. Remembered us from the year before and always gives solid advice. I'd come play again just because of him. 36$ for 18 and a cart on a Sunday afternoon is a steal.
Great value
Happy that they got the course repaired and back in shape
Great time
Course in good condition, besides hole 17 outside construction that narrowed fairway leading up to green.
run down
course is run down large missing grass spots on many greens instead of maintained greens they just painted them green overall waste of money for a few bucks more there are many nicer courses in the area
not worth the trip
the course came well recommended but I was very disappointed when instead of cared for green's the just dyed them green. the greens also had large spots of what appeared to be missing grass chunks. the fairways had allot of pot holes. was not pleased with condition.
