disappointing
I have played this course many times in the past and had some great times. I don't know what has changed but I was extremely disappointed. The course condition was not even close to what I expected greens and fairways were dry as I have ever seen them, no watering is my guess.. Poor course management no starter or ranger to move the pace of play along. When I asked pricing before my round I got no reply and gave up while he was searching the computer for an answer. Senior rate on the website is 30.00 ladies special again from the website is 25.00 my wife and I golfing cost 76.00. where this rate came from I have no idea.
Very well maintained
The course was in great shape for fall golf. The greens were in fantastic condition and the fairways were clear of leaves. It was a great round of golf!!
As always, course was in great shape,so nice a course with real sand in the bunkers.
Long but fair...
There seem to be no,easy holes on this course, and the pins were set for championship golf. It is not a course you can expect to play lights out the first time, as there are many nuances you have to learn.
Great Place
Punderson is the exception to state park golf courses. The course has been turned around from conditions expected from a "Budget" course where the course conditions were less than average to a course that is being maintained as though there might be a PGA tournament scheduled. Attention to detail being a high priority. Wonderful time, the grounds keeper should be proud of his accomplishment!
Nice
Course is very nice surrounding are beautiful, the staff does not like golf now customers this is the 5th time in 2 yrs we played this course and every time we get the rude treatment from the staff, I don't understand why they use Golf Now.
Staff
The course is great located in national park, been going there for 3 yrs i try to stay away because the staff does not like golf now golfers, played by myself got to the course 20 minutes early no one schedule to tee off but made me wait until my tee time then put a 4some in front of me i just skip the first hole then played. every time i played this course the staff is rude.
Pretty damp for no rain
The course was in good shape but they must have watered heavily last night because it was very damp. The greens were slower than I've seen them in the past. It is important to play the correct tees for your game at this course as their are a couple of holes that are almost unfair if you don't.
Played Punderson for over 30 years great track, the last 3 years however its one and done for the year, reason they let a league off the back 5 groups which slows the pace of play. We played the front in 90 minutes, we left after 16, over 2 hours on the back, this has happened 3 years now bad mgmt. decisions
JUST A GOOD COURSE TO PLAY
Great overall course, front has some tight fairways.
Very challenging par 3's.
Just a fun course to play. Very well maintained.
Course was in great condition. There has been plenty of rain, so everything was green. We always have Punderson on our list each summer to play and we keep going back. We did move up to the gold on the tees and it still plays close to 6000. Good time.
Super
Course in good condition. Bad news - nothing to repair divots. My cart didn’t have container, and those that did were empty. Additionally, nothing at “senior/ladies” tees too repair tees on par 3s. Come on people, there are a lot of seniors and ladies that play golf. We’re not second class citizens, so don’t respond to us as an afterthought.
Good day on the course
We played Saturday morning with one of the really early Tee times. Around 700 am. Staff was friendly nice and very helpful. If you are looking for an easy track this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a challenging layout where you have to drive the ball to the proper spot this is the course for you.
Pundy is one of my favorite courses. I play there 6 to 10 times a year. It’s in terrific shape right now, and usually is through the summer months. It plays sufficiently long - 6600 from the white tees and 6850 from the blues. Three huge par fives stretch out to roughly 550 or more a hole. Tight enough fairways and layout to require that you hit the ball fairly straight but still some room to tee it up and let it fly. Course in great overall shape. Price performer and friendly staff.
