So-so review
I was one of only two people on the entire course due to weather conditions. I was extremely happy with my front nine pace of play and course condition. However, that changed at the turn. I was not informed that the back nine was being aerated and that the flags were not out. I played 3 holes and then decided to call it a day. If I had been told when I checked in, I would have merely played the front nine again.
COOL PLACE
GREAT COURSE CONDITIONS FOR A PUBLIC, SUPER GREENS. PLACE IS A LITTLE LIKE DICKS LAST RESORT, OR CHEERS, LIVELY PLACE.
Elms great course not to far from akron
Course is in great condition, greens are fast and true, and its in a beautiful location. Always fun always worth the drive. Will be back for years to come.
What do you think you are going to do here!
As i approached the putting green, I was rather rudely greeted by one of the staff. I believe his exact words were "Ha, what do you think you are going to do here." They were wrapping up a Sunday AM Outing scramble that was running late as usual. He sure made me feel welcome. To cut it short, I find it difficult to truly enjoy the round when your first impression leaves you so cold. I did make a 1:30 PM tee time on your site, and did not get to start until after 2PM. Then they slipped out a six-some in front of us on the back nine.
Good variety of difficulty levels
The course was in good shape, even with the two month drought!
Great golf value
The Elms is an underrated golf course - plays much tougher than the scorecard indicates.
Plays 6900 from back tees but pretty open off the tee. The course has one major defense - the greens which are tricky if your not used to them. They are small tilted dime shaped greens for the most part and are surprisingly fast for a public course.
The greens roll true and the course is in excellent shape (though the bunkers need improvement)
Also, no water stations on course which needs to be addressed by owners. In addition, need better scorecards and yardage book. But, overall The Elms has made major strides to become one of the best values in Stark County golf.
This course has ups and downs
The course greens we're awesome and conditions too. But I would have like to know pin locations they didn't have that and staff in clubhouse was great in morning when we got there and not as helpful before we left. But altogether great day of golf on a great course. Thanks!!
Nice
I didn't expect this course to be this Nice... i will be back.
Excellent condition
Greens, tees and fairways all in excellent condition. Greens putt true and consistent from hole to hole.
Feel like a pro
Course was beautiful from tee to the bottom of the cup. I will definitely go back
