Slow play, rock hard greens
1st time here. Got a good deal on GOLFNOW. The couse isn't long, but to balance that to make it more difficult, apparently they don't water the greens. My friend and I COULD NOT get any approach shot to hold the greens. Short irons-lob wedges would hit and roll off the back. Didn't have to repair any ball marks because there weren't any. Greens were too hard to leave any. Only way to make a par was leaving it short and putting up onto the green.
Springvale double books tee times
It was a 5 and a half hour round. The course was in a brutal log jam for the first 8 holes. The group behind us had the exact same tee time as our group. The group ahead of us had a tee time 4 minutes before us. Just a blatant money grab and it was a 10 minute wait on every tee.
Watch out for #11
Staff in clubhouse was friendly. Staff made sure you were on task when it came to returning the golf cart. The green complex at #11 is difficult. Played harder than its slope indicates. You cannot drive your golf cart in the parking lot. Price of round was after a $20 discount.
Pleasant Surprise
I never played the course before, as I expected it was flat, had no character and that the course conditions would be marginal at best.
I was stunned too find that it was a beautiful, lush course with a lot of challenging holes. The course was in perfect condition. Warning the greens were very fast. The only negative: they allow slow play. They have no course rangers.
Great course!
Staff was friendly, course was in great shape and very reasonably priced!
1st class course
From clubhouse to course. Everything was excellent. Course was well groomed from tee to green.
Great Course
My only complaint with my experience was pace of play. It wasn’t terrible, but on a cart path only day, I feel like the clubhouse should adjust tee times to be slightly further apart. Constantly waiting as well as constantly having the group behind us waiting was not fun. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this course. It’s short enough for beginners to have a chance to do well, but has enough “trouble” to require good ball placement and distance control from more advanced players. For being in the dead of fall, this course was in great shape. I would love to play again as long as 18 holes doesn’t take 5 hours.
