Great greens
A hidden gem just off of Lake Erie. Although no views of the lake, the winds make the course challenging. Layout is open links style but without any high grasses. Tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Fairways were average. Certainly a course to add to your list if you're in the Toledo area. The surrounding industrial area does take away from the course a little.
the course is in very good shape..
Played Sept. 21.2013..Eagles landings is one of my favorite courses ever since it opened living out in Walbridge. Course got shabby the last 4 years but under new ownership they are doing a fine job can't wait until couples more years it will be in the top 5 in the area...The bad side i wish the rates were a little lower on Sat -Sun evening about 3pm. mostly in August , Sept..We would play every week and i think it would bring more people out..Making $100.00 for 4 people is better than nothing...plus buying snacks and a case of beer...
Fair test of golf. Tee boxes for every type of player.
Great time was had by all. Great pace of play for a Sunday afternoon. Course was in great shape and was a great value!!
Good shape
Greens were a little bumpy but course was in pretty good shape on a whole.
Worth the Drive
I drove about an hour from Michigan to play. Couldn't beat the deal....$14 with cart. The course was pretty nice. Greens had just been aerated, so conditions were a little bumpy, but they show promise. They will probably be rolling great in a couple of weeks. Layout was typical links golf, while the back definitely plays a little tougher than the front. The course was fairly well maintained and the staff was friendly. I would recommend the BBQ pork sandwich! Overall, a good experience and I will probably return.
Fun course to play
The course was in great shape. The greens were in superb condition and rolled true. I like the variety of the different holes. Keeps you alert. Since last year they have built a new bar area with great views of the course. Highly recommended for those traveling to or living in the Toledo area.
Great course for the money.
nice course with some challenging holes. It's not a wide open course where you can wail away. Water comes into play on most of the holes. A fun course to play. I highly recommend it.
Great course - go play it
This was a very nice course - I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice course in a quiet setting. More of a links-style course with very few trees. You will use many different clubs on this course and it will demand some precise shot making, but birdies are available here if you are in control. Put the ball near the pin as the greens are large with subtle contours, but in very nice condition. I will play here again.
A nice test offering great value.
Terrific layout. Nice mix of holes, short, long, turning right & left. On Lake Erie & wind usually adds to the fun - it blows there! Only pitfall is spotty rough & balls sinking into holes in the inconsistent rough - sometimes unplayable/unfair.
Will play The TPC at Eagles Landing a lot!
Points: Value, course condition and experience
I really enjoyed my day out here. Although it sits outside of Toledo. This course is a hidden gem. Easily the best value for money course. The course offers easily accessible pins IF you smartly place your ball onto the safest portion of the fairway with the right club. HINT: Fairway Wood, Hybrid and Driving Iron come in handy. Be prepared to play well with the wind and gust.
The greens were at moderate speed but I prefer them slightly faster as well as the fairway (although it was raining the day before). Roughs are generous.
The staff are friendly especially inside the bar.
So bring your A game. Not all holes are driver friendly :)
This is a must play course!
Wow! What a change a few years makes! I hadnt played this course in a few years, but I must say the new owners/management have turned it around in a hurry! Fairways were in excellent shape and the greens couldn't have been better! There have been many upgrades on the course as I noticed they have removed several sand bunkers and have done alot of work to the remaining traps. Course played great, the staff that was working the day I played couldn't have been more friendly and fun! They have a brand new bar and have also remodeled the restrooms. If you haven't played this course in a while, I highly recommend you do!
This is a wonderful course, well taken care of.
I played this course on a beautiful Saturday, the course staff was friendly and helpful, and stepping onto the first tee box I knew I was set to have a great day. The course offers a nice variation in layout as well as obstacles and is a wonderful time either by yourself or with a group! Would strongly recommend playing here!
very good course
very good course and very good vaule when using GolfNow
Super friendly staff and fun links course.
The course was in decent shape for this time of the year and the greens were nice. It was a lot of fun to play as I enjoy links style courses. There's a number of different tee boxes to choose from so it's friendly for golfers of all abilities. It was a real bargain to play it too through Golfnow.com.
Sherry in the clubhouse was super friendly and bent over backwards to make sure I had an excellent experience as I was one of the few golfers who ventured out on a cold and miserable day.
They even have a virtual golf setup in the clubhouse and it's a lot of fun to play. And very realistic as far as your shots go after you get the hang of it. Of course you hit off a mat which makes it a bit easier to hit your irons and putt. I've played Pebble Beach and it compares pretty favorably to the accuracy of play for the most part. Now the greens would be a different story. But it was still a lot of fun.
Overall I would recommend this little gem.
