Hueston Woods Golf Course
About
Hueston Woods Golf Course sprawls across over 260 acres of lush, rolling terrain. It plays to a beastly length of just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. Jack Kidwell, a designer who had a hand in many of Ohio's finest courses, created the course. It borders hundreds of acres of beech and maple forests that are accented with colorful wildflowers and provide a home to the area's wildlife. Kidwell utilized this rich and beautiful landscape to mold a scenic and challenging design. The layout features large, wildly undulating greens bordered by over 30 strategically placed bunkers. Four ponds also come into play on several holes and golfers will also have stands of mature trees to contend with. Hueston Woods' signature hole is the par-3 16th. This 175-yard hole requires a demanding carry over water.

Hueston Woods - always a challage
Course and greens in very good condition ... lots of trees have been cut down in the past 2 years so it looks much different than originally, and plays easier for the same reason. Tee box set up is good for all players.
I would play it more often were it not an hour from me.
Certainly a place to play ....
A Favorite Course
Course is in great shape, rough is short, fairways pristine. There is only one hole in which you don’t want to grip it and rip it off the tee. The par 3 16th hole is a beauty and as challenging as they come.
Great course
Great course that I love getting to play st least once a year. Greens are always fast and challenging. I didn’t give 5 stars because the pace of play the day we played was really slow and I didn’t see anyone on the course trying to speed things up. We there than that you won’t be disappointed with this off the radar course.
Clean Air to Breathe
Hueston Woods is a great State of Ohio Park. The golf course is located on the west edge of the park and is an excellent design. This venue is so far out of the Ohio river valley that the air is clean and is a pleasure to breathe. I recommend this experience to all who enjoy a game of golf while experiencing nature at it's best.
Good but under some construction
The course lost so many trees because of that Asian bug over 500 trees but the course is still a local fav
We have played this course dozens of times thru the years and we all agreed that it is in the best shape ever ! Great course, great conditions, and a great value with GolfNow !
Well kept course, good value for the Golfnow Hot Deal price.
Worth the drive
We played this course on perhaps the last warm day of the year. A lot of work was being done clearing trees throughout the course. There were less than 10 cars in the parking lot when we arrived for a noon tee time. The bunkers were so bare that they were unplayable. The course was in very good condition for early December. Most holes layout are dogleg right. Greens were slow but that is understandable for December. This course is longer (6250 - white tees 6825 blue tees) than most course in the area.
Leafs and beauty
Course was in great shape as usual new grass on fairways 9 and 10. Leaves were issues on some holes. Sad to see a lot of ash trees being cut down.
Great course and good value
Always happy with condition. Greens roll true at medium speed. I was glad to see replacing dead trees that were diseased. Need to work on cart paths and carts.
Nice course
Very nicely maintained. Especially for the fall. They have 2 fairways they have reseeded that you can not drive on that makes holes 9 and 10 a little inconvenient but they are growing back nicely and you can play on them. Looking forward to playing this course next yea.r
Bring your A game
Always have loved this track, gives many options, for both skilled players and somewhat skilled. Always find myself using almost every club in my bag. Greens are always true and speedy. Awesome value for what I consider a very challenging track, love the natural setting, nature at every turn, very peaceful round of golf. Will continue to return as often as time and abilities allow.
Nice course
Nice course long as you want it to be. You get to hit a variety of shots not just a couple of clubs. Some elevation changes but none too drastic. Only a few blind tee shots.
Expected More
Expecting a great college golf course experience but was disappointed by the condition of the course, the range, and the carts. The greens were good and rolled true but the fairways and bunkers were not well kept. Our cart had a flat tire by hole 3 but was replaced by their cart staff promptly. Looking to play a course with fairways like your backyard and rough that's even longer then this is your spot!!
Hueston Woods
Have not played this course in 20+ and it did not disappoint. Beautiful course, challenging and in very good shape. Wish I would have putted better.
Well done
The staff at Hueston Woods GC has done a great job this year. Course is great condition and with the ash bore trees being removed, it has become a little more playable. Some bunkers are under repair as they adding drain plates underneath. Much needed upgrade to this course.
Favorite course
Beautiful golf course ! It has lost hundreds of trees over the last few years but still very challenging
