nice course close to home
Overall a nice course to play, not overly hard decent landscaping
muni golf
Course is exactly what you would expect in the middle of a first ring suburb. Its playable but not a place I would pay top rate. Clubhouse is old, proshop is non existant, course mediocre at best.
The course does not drain well at all, it had some standing water, bunkers were underwater. Greens were on the slow side but very bumpy.Fairways were ok, tee boxes were not level.
I think it would be a good course for somebody just taking up the game. Its a notch above sceneca
I love this course
The course opened as a private club in 1925, so you have a course with varied holes with challenges. It is probably a shorter course, but there are a couple of par 5's that require some length and accuracy.
The course is in excellent shape and you better read the greens right. They are smooth as a pool table with some interesting undulations.
I thoroughly enjoy playing it. The staff is a bunch of older guys who have been around golf for a long time.
Play there if you get the chance.
not bad
pretty good course. new sand. A decent course for the money. Greens were really fast and they were even a little moist. This added to difficulty. It was fun though.
very hilly with blind shots
It was a nice value to play the course. Course is over priced otherwise. Maintenance crew told me about GOLFNOW.COM and gave me a heads up on the savings. Some of the people who work inside the clubhouse could be more friendly. It seems like you are bothering them with your business.
Paid $12 for 18, and I can't say it was a bargain
I can see why the city of Parma had to transfer 52K to the golf course to cover losses from last season. As a retired public employee I understand better than most government hiring practices, but the Parma really needs to look at their employees more closely. The starter was 90 if he was a day, hard of hearing, and spoke with a heavy european accent that made holding a conversation almost impossible. The scorecard shows pin placements in six quadrants on each green, I asked the starter what number the placements were today? He said there were no pin placement numbers, that the flags were colored red, white, and blue for pin locations. Wrong, all the flags were white, so you had no idea where the pins were on the greens. Now to pin locations, at least a half dozen cups were cut on severe slopes. Whoever cut the cups also was not very good at filling in the old placements, some were 1/8 inch low while others were 1/8 inch proud of the green surface. The course has about 25 sand traps, only one had anything in it that could be considered sand. Most of the traps on the front 9 were raked, but raking dirt does not make a sand trap. The traps on the back were worse, they were as hard as rock. My wife hit an approach shot into the right bunker on #10 green, and it bounced on to the green as if she had bounced it off the cart path. The tees, fairways, roughs, and greens were mowed and acceptable. However the greens are very firm and will not hold an approach shot of any kind. The course needs more yardage markers, a small white stake on the side of a fairway and a few numbers painted randomly on some cart paths is insufficient to promote quick play. There are many good muny and public courses in NE Ohio, this just is not one of them.
Nice Muni Track
A very nice muni course. Had a great deal on Golf Now. Has some challenging holes on both 9s. Nicely maintained. Normal price is a little high.
