Brandywine week two
Played here two weeks in a row. The front is easy to score on and the back is tough but some very unique holes so we came back again to test it out. Both times we played here we had no one in front of which we enjoyed playing at a fast pace. Nice course
Brandywine
I really enjoyed rthis course. I've played it twice this year and want to go back. I played so well on the front nine both times but outing number one the back ate me alive. The second I played a little smarter and it was better. The back nine is like playing a different course than the front but such a great area to golf. I'll be back
Great Value
Fun Course, great value for the money. My 13yr old son and I were able to play this in about 3 1/2 hours. Course was in good condition, staff was friendly.
A good challenging course in a unique setting.
Fun and humbling.. sloppy iron play will make for a long day. Hilly terrain and greens to match. I'll play again when my games sharp. I think I used every club in the bag.
Front 9 a blast to play, back 9 is a different story
I played Brandywine CC for the first time on the 26th of August, and quite honestly, I enjoyed the front nine very thoroughly. As soon as I got to the 10th tee, I was on my own and had a blast. However, as soon as I walked onto #11, I noticed that there was absolutely NO grass on the tee box. And lots of rot everywhere in the fairway and fringe of the green. Same went for #12, where it was just dirt in most of the rough. I quit after 12 holes, and went back to the clubhouse to alert the staff. I actually couldn't be more pleased with the staff, as they understood what I was saying and offered a refund. Overall, pretty pleasant experience with the staff and front nine, but as soon as you tee off on #10, please know what you're getting into.
Fun Course
This is not my first time hear. Front nine is traditional somewhat challenging layout. Back nine is cut through the ski hill and has some challenging holes. If you can get a par on #16, you have hit three great shots. Conditions weren't as in the past. also on # 16 is wouldn't hurt to trim some of the vegetation to widen up your second shot a bit.
Average
Its a cours that i play often because its close and in a very beautiful setting. The greens have improved over the last few years because of the greens superintendent. The rest of the course needs some serious tlc. Im still a fan because its a unique setting and the staff is friendly
Wasteland
This course is completely out of shape. Terrible conditions. Dead spots on greens. Played tips 3 straight days for HS tryouts. Shot 242 total, 80-81-81, because the back nine is completely trash. Broke 40 on front side each time but the back is a weird design. Tips are only 6200 yards, which is weird. If somebody is just looking for a weird design and a place to have a good time while playing golf, this is it. Otherwise, stray away
Slow slow slow.
Played a few days ago. Verily slow play. It took 3 hrs to play the front nine, I was waiting on every drive and approach shot. Not sure what the issue was ahead of us. Asked for a raincheck for the back nine and was denied, I was told to call golf now. And GOLF NOW also declined to refund any of my money or offer me a 10 dollar promo code for the inconvenience. Keep in mind I'm also a VIP member. Anyhow, this course is slow, in bad shape with rot on greens and the back nine is a gimmicky ride thru the woods being eaten by bugs!
Front 9 is very easy and moderate but Back9 is very challeging. staffs are very kind and courses are maintained well .
Solid Time
The Front 9 is perfect for the average golfer. The bunkers are non existent but the rough isn't bad, greens solid, and holes straight forward. Back 9 is like a video game. Challenging and use roughly 4-6 different clubs off he tee. Pace of play can suck at times but I would recommend the course.
