I love this course! I live out of state and play with a member when I visit family in the area. My favorite course in the Miami Valley, just because it is always in pristine condition. I've heard people use that word about public courses in the area, and it is not true, but this place is always immaculate! Pete, the superintendent, keeps this place perfect at all times. Bentgrass greens that roll better than anywhere else I play, including my own country club. I believe it is bentgrass everywhere, so the ball will not sit up, like on Zoysia or Bermuda. Very tight fairways means you had better make good contact or you will hit it fat or thin ever time. Anyway, if you can get on this course, it is worth the time and money. If you enjoy playing local and muni courses, and consider them 'pristine,' then don't play here. It will change your whole perspective of the word, and you won't want to play anywhere else!
This course is very well manicured and features amazingly smooth greens. This is a classic Donald Ross golf course and one of the oldest in the area. I truly enjoyed this golf course!
