Quality Golf Course
Nice place that I would recommend. Played in September and after the summer it was still in really good shape. Nice mix of holes.
Good old course.
Typical old private course layout. Good use of terrain with elevation changes. Has seen better days but is still worth a try.
Worst course played, sad because it has potential. Very disappointing.
After reading some of the great reviews, I decided to give this course a try. It was a disappointment even for the price. Nearby courses charge about the same or less and are in fabulous shape and well taken care of.
My photos support my review.
The carts were filthy, old and ours actually backfired.
The garbage cans on the course were all full and you can tell haven't been emptied for a while.
The fairways were in decent shape as well as the greens. The course isn't particularly hard. Any bunkers if you did land in them were unplayable. (see photo) They actually had saplings growing in them.
As you come around to the back 9, there is this dilapidated building/resort that you actually have to drive around and if teeing off from the blues you are parked looking into this building which should be condemned and torn down. I'm not sure if this building is part of Traditions, but maybe if they hung some tarps or did something to buffer that view it would help. I was actually scared. Ran to the tee box and hit as fast as I could. (again, see photos)
They seem to be focusing their efforts on foot golf and letting the golf side go. There were weeds on the edges of bunkers, cart paths and trees. Cart paths were potholed and corroding away. Tee boxes and many greens had debris all over them. (branches, leaves, twigs)
The only pro about it was that 3 of the par 3's were challenging.
We actually almost left after the 5th hole it was so bad.
If you don't play often and cherish your time out on the course, avoid this course!
The Front Nine!!!
This is a old short course but plenty of danger looms off the fairway. The front nine makes the course with the challenging hills. The back nine is flatter but still has some challenge with length of holes. No sand in the bunkers but they were edged for new sand to be put in them sometime.
Front Nine is Pretty, Back Nine is Depressing
The front nine isn't amazing but it does have some pretty views. The back nine faces a huge abandoned building that is just depressing and awful to look at.
excellent place to play
Only draw back is my golf game could use a Suttle to bring clubs from cars to starter.
Well kept course
Very helpful and friendly staff. Grounds are very well kept. The holes have a weird arrangement I think in part due to the moving of the clubhouse when the lower IBM building was closed. It does not affect play, but you are not near the clubhouse very often. there is a snack shack mid-course,
close to home good price
For this time of year the course was in very good condition. Fairways were mostly clear of leaves. The rough was very grabby, so stay out of it!!!! Had a good time, no waiting, no one hurried us.
greens were great
very crowded need ranger to move slower foursomes along
beautiful course
I really enjoyed my round at Traditions. It is challenging and well-maintained, and beautiful as well. Recommeneded
Superb greens
This was my first trip to Traditions at the Glen and it was well worth the drive from NEPA. It's not the longest course but the layout and greens will keep all levels of golfers interested and challenged. The greens were outstanding, they held all approach shots but when putting they were much faster than they look. They rolled true and fast. It was a great day and I'll definitely be back in the future.
A great round
The greens were perfect, the help was great, and the overall course condition was fantastic. We had a great round of golf at afun course.
Rainy, but still played well
It was a rainy day, but the course still played very well. Greens still rolled true had break despite the weather. Good drainage, great rate the golfnow.
Scenic views
Course was in great condition. Rain had washed out some sand traps but they were being groomed while we were playing our round. Enjoyed the round of golf.
Traditions
Excellent course - challenging fairways and greens.
Course is in really nice shape and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A little confusing getting to a couple of the holes until you know the course, especially around the snack shack and hole #17. Look for the signs and you'll be OK.
love this course
it is a shorter course. if you hit anything over 250 on a tee shot then its usually only a short iron or a wedge in. overall i would recommend this course to anyone.
Fun course
Fun course to play. Excellent for the price. Cant beat it. Played this course multiple times glad that it is on Golf Now.
Agood challenge for all.
From the first tee you can tell that this course will challenge your skills. The fairways are in excellent shape as are the greens. Speed on the greens was fast but read true.
Quality
Awesome course. Well kept, one of the best greens I've seen this season. Open fairways, so it is very forgiving but has challenging par 3s. An excellent course for the money, and a great place to improve your game without going broke. I keep it in my rotation and plan to play it much more, they even honored me with a rain check - definitely check it out!
future casino site too
Traditions is always in great shape. Tough track with true greens. Highly recommend it!
