Reid Park Golf Club - South Course
About
Reid Park Golf Club has two 18-hole courses available, the North and the South. Originally opened in 1967, Reid Park has established a reputation as one of the best golf values in the area. The South Course is a challenging but playable layout, which is why it is the home course for many of the area's high school teams. The golf course is laid across gently rolling, open terrain that allows for the occasional errant shot. It has a very player-friendly nature and it is easy to walk. The course is not overly punishing but there are still a few challenges in store. If you're looking for a tougher test, the championship North Course is the way to go. In addition to Reid Park's two golf courses, there is also a driving range and two putting greens.

Course conditions
I play this course quite often I like the layout and fall out area. I’m not a real good golfer so when I slice it there’s usually enough room to save it. Each time I play this course the condition of the course seems to get better and better!
Unable to book on Golf Now with 55 season pass
Golf Now did not recognize me when I booked on Golf Now. My email address was correct.
Great Staff/Nice Course
My wife and I played here while visiting family in Springfield. We enjoyed the course and staff so much we booked again on the North Course. This Course (South) was in great shape for this time of year. A it difficult to manipulate direction to the next hole but a nice, easy course. No bunkers, wide open and great greens made it a relaxing, fun wound.
Front 9 of North Course
We were in Dayton for the weekend and wanted to play a quick round. The golf course was in decent condition given how early it was in the season. Course layout was interesting. Has some elevation changes, dog legs left and right and water hazard on some holes. The temperature was in the low 50's so the pace of play was fast because there weren't many others on the course.
May return in the summer to try the back 9.
Big storms
We played the course right after a big storm so the course had a lot of fallen branches and water on the course. It was a Sunday so I’m sure that’s why cleanup hadn’t started yet. The restaurant wasn’t open yet which I understand it is still early in the season but why the electricity is off in the bathrooms makes no sense, no lighting in there at all. I’ve played here once before and course was in good shape. I like the course and will play here again. Looking forward to playing the North course next time.
Very economical
Very very nice course for the money (I think I paid $22 for a hot deal with all fees).
Pace of play was pretty slow but I got waived through to play through a few times.
If I lived closer than 40 minutes away I'd play here more often. I definitely want to go back and play the north course soon.
Love Reid South and North
Have played Reid for years. Lesgue, tournaments, open play. It's always our go to.
Great Experience
The pro shop had about anything you could need at reasonable pricing.
The clubhouse was great with good food and variety of drinks. And the tote bags for drinks were super nice.
Course was maintained pretty well just keep the ball in the fairway and you’ll have no problem find big your ball. The rough was just slightly tall enough to lose a ball if hit out of sight.
Overall great time with my buddies and great experience at Reid Park.
This was my second time playing here, I’ve gotten to play both courses now. I’ll definitely be booking more tee times here.
Fun course
Nice course! First time there and would definitely like to go back. Pace of play was slow but that seems to be every where anymore. They have plenty of different drinks and quite a few options of food as well!
Go play there!
The course is in great shape! We played late morning, very good pace of play.
Great value for the money.
Day after thanksgiving golf
The temperature was about 56F, but when the sun about 75% of the round was out it felt much warmer. So only a warm athlete sweater was needed and refreshing and beautiful weather for golf. The South course has some 'normal' holes, but also many interesting and challenging holes. There is long grass and trees along some of the holes to add challenge. The greens on the South course are generally flatter than the North course. The greens have been in very excellent condition all year - not much damage and rolling well. They are gently sloped, and many times a challenge to determine how much break. And the fairways and rough are in excellent shape also. Both the North and South courses are beautiful and fun courses to play. There are generally some undulations on every hole - so not perfectly flat. And the course is usually not too crowded, so the paces are almost always about 4 hours or less. The driving range is one of the best in area, with a big area to hit at and extended out past 300 yards. The staff are very friendly and nice to talk to, and the snack bar has reasonable costs and good selections of food and beverages.
Hidden gem
Played this course for the first time. Course conditions were good for this time of the year in Ohio. We've been going through an extended dry spell but fairways and greens were in good status. Course has a lot of character with doglegs, ponds and tree lines on some holes. Fairways were moderately open on others. Some greens were elevated with alot of undulation.. course was challenging but forgiving.
