Reid Park Golf Club - North Course
About
There are two 18-hole courses at Reid Park Golf Club, the North and the South. The courses have been providing one of the greater Springfield area's best golf values for over 40 years. The championship North Course is the longer and more challenging of the two. The South Course is open and walkable while the North Course features a hillier terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Mature trees frame the large, slick greens and there are also strategically placed bunkers throughout. Many locals consider it to be one of the toughest golf courses in the area. Though there are different tees so that you can play to your skill level, beginners may want to stick with the South Course, which still has challenges but is more player-friendly than the North.

Reid Park
First time playing here. Course layout is exceptional and very challenging. If bunkers were in better shape over the whole course, this would have been 5 star. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a challenge
Beautiful course
For late September corse was in superb shape. I love playing here.
Reid Park North
The overall course conditions were very good. There are some odd holes with extreme slope to the greens but overall the layout is good. It would be good if they had a combination of tees for senior golfers on some holes. For example, on 14 play the white tees but on 15 play the gold tees.
Always fun
Love playing this course. Course was in great shape for late September. Greens were hard and fast, sometimes too hard. About half my balls hit the greens in regulation and rolled off. Other than that, I’ll be looking to play the North course again before the end of the golf season.
Tough track
In the morning it seems like the locals load up on the South, probably got tired of the North beating them down. One of the better championship level courses in the area!
Best bang for the buck
First time playing here and enjoyed 18 holes on the South course. Definitely more challenging than the north and there is the potential to lose some balls. We then played the front 9 on the North course. It was more open and geared for beginners but still fun.
PLAY YOUR OWN BALL!
The North course is tight so there's a lot of interaction between fairways and had my ball played by other players twice. Some rude comments made from the local yokals who thought they owned the place... Because their trailer park was next door.
*Correction, we played 18 on the North and then the front on the South course. The North is more of a challenge. I got my directions turned around :)
