Sad This Course Closed
I still remember my round on this Harold Paddock course as it had a wild routing over some very hilly terrain. Several of the tee shots had large drops to the fairways and were signature holes. This was one of my favorite courses to play in the Cleveland area.
RIP Old Friend
The course closes next Sunday. And it will be missed by many area golfers. Condition was a problem during the past few years. Probably because the owners knew they were going to cash in soon. But during its halcyon days, the "Stro" was a fun place to play. Will miss you old friend!
Last Chance
Astorhurst has a great layout. Too bad it's going to go away at the end of the year. Play it while you can.
Great course layout & in fantastic condition
This course os always in great condition with very nice greens. Pace of plY is good, but best part of the course is the views and layout to challenge you. To bad this course is closing after this year. Wish the Metroparks would just keep it as a golf course...
Pace slow
Pace was very slow, and because of this I missed an appointment. Maybe because the course is said to close after this season, many people, including myself, seem to come here to play.
Go before they shut it down!
A really great course. Just been informed that they've been bought out and new owner is closing the course after this season. A shame because this is the only course like this in northeast Ohio. Nice challenge. Water. Bunkers. Dramatic elevation change on a couple holes. Wonderful layout. Has some dead spots here and there. I plan on going back a few times this year before they close. I recommend everyone do the same.
Too bad the course will be closed after this season
This is a very interesting and challenging course. If either this or shawnee hills must be closed, I think shawnee hills should be closed. Shawnee hills is a good course, but Astorhurst is better.
Fun course
It's a shame they are closing this season. Course has a couple fun elevated tee boxes. Most of the course seemed decently maintained. Golf it while you can
Course in Great Condition
The condition of the course and the pace of play made for an enjoyable round.
Good value from the hot deal on golf now. Short course, but has holes where you can open up the bag. I don't think I would play here again without the hot deal.
Last Chance
It's a darn shame that such a nice course, especially considering the cost, is being sold to the Metroparks who intend to ruin it by "turning it back to its natural state." This course is much more enjoyable than Shawnee. Turn Shawnee into a hot mess like Acacia and leave this course alone.
Good course, but confusing set up
Course was nice - signage for holes could be better seeing as there are many hills and the tee boxes for the next hole are not by the previous green. Challenging but fun course overall. Good value through golf now.
It had rained for several days before we played. But other than a few holes being a bit soggy, the course was in great shape. I hadn't played here for several years and was pleased to see some of the changes helped speed play up. I plan on playing here again soon.
Not bad
I like the course because it's close to home. It's an average that's not that hard to play. It was the perfect course for the first time swinging the clubs since last year. The price was excellent and would go back not doubt.
Great Valley Course
The course was in great shape! The greens are bit slow but well taken care of. It has several elevated tees two of them spectacular. This is great reasonably priced course with easyvaccess from the eastbor west side of Cleveland. I'll be going back!
