Poor starter
It took over 5 hours to play waited at every hole before teeing off. Great course poor course management.
A LITTLE PRICY, BUT NOT BAD FOR THE MONEY
A NICE COURSE WITH BETTER THAN AVERAGE CONDITIONS.
Best condition in years!
I had stopped playing the course a few years back due to the poor conditions but it was in perfect shape on the day I played. The staff is still a mess and the pace of play was slow even for a Saturday, but the layout is great in that there are not too many forced carries and you don't have to hit driver on every hole. There are two holes that are among the most picturesque in the area.
Never a boring round
This course presents just enough challenge for long time golfers without frustrations. Beautiful course with lovely views from the lofty tee boxes.
Really fun place
Nice short par 3's. Great shots off some high cliffs. Beautiful layout and rolling hills. Our first time playing here and we had a blast. See ya soon!
Overall fun course
Not a very long course and lots of doglegs, but very nice layout. Enjoyed the elevation changes and nice scenery all around. Very slow play the day we were there but it was a nice day.
Uncourtious Grounds Crew/ Astrohurst
Is it common practice for golfers to have to pull aside for 3 holes in a row for the ground crew to finish cutting the fairways and grooming the sand traps. Worst yet, when shooting towards the pin is it also expected to have to wait for the grounds crew to finish grooming the sand traps? All my years of golfing never had to skip 3 holes in a row. Very irritated that had the day off being wasted by this experience. Brought to management attention to bring awareness of situation. Management then said it is the golfers responsibility to ask for permission to golf the back 9 when 18 holes where purchased and first hole occupied. The whole course was being groomed at 12:30 in the afternoon.
Bring a rangefinder
Nice course, good layout, in good condition. The only issue is that their are zero yardage markers on the course so if you dont have a rangefinder you better be a good estimater of how far the distances are.
This course just keeps getting better.
I've always loved playing this course. I've been playing it since 1999. It keeps getting better every time we play there. The staff was incredibly nice, the course was in great shape, and the greens were smooth and quick. Pace of play was great. We scooted through there in 3:25. Over the past 2-3 years, that course has gotten a lot of much needed attention. This course will always get my money!
Astorhurst
Nice course friendly staff and fairly challenging course very fun to play and good price as well
Great course
Course is very nice...played fast and in good shape
Good time
1st time there and it was a good experience. .. good condition course
nice course, test your game!
This course was in great shape when I went for early fall. It hand just rained the night before and the course was well drained. It has a good mix of holes. Your par 3's are challenging as they are either guarded by a ravine or sand traps, or both. The short par 4's are narrow and you must hit it very straight off the tee to have a second shot at the green. Your long par 4's are a little wider but the hills block your advances. The same with the par 5's. Almost every green is surrounded by at least three sand traps, which makes this course tricky but fun. The back nine has some water so you must decide whether to go for the long ball or lay up. It was a fun round and quick as I went solo. Great deal on golfnow.
This course had many surprise.
A very nice layout. It is a a short track so you tee off more with your irons than woods. I was very pleased that I was charged a lower rate at the course than on Golf Now. They had just changed to fall rates a few days before our scheduled date of play. So I am glad we paid at the course and not on line. My only disappointment was the conditions of the greens. They were not cut all day and they had recently been aerated. My carpet at home is smoother!
Not bad
I played this course for really cheap this weekend. Most of the time they want $40 to play, but the course is not worth that rate. I would typically want to pay less than $30 here. They are under new management for the past couple years, and the course looks pretty good. The greens are excellent, but the tee boxes require some attention. The layout is pretty interesting with some HUGE elevation changes from 9 and 18 tee. I don't like some of the holes though, that give you a 250 yard par 4 with a 90 degree dogleg, and some of the holes are too close together.
The condition of the greens and fairways were good, staff very friendly, pace of play okay.
The problem was the leaves on the ground around the trees, if you hit your ball out of the fairway it is very hard to find due to the leaves, later in the year this is expected, but not this soon.
The course was in good shape
Met a guy in the club house, got paired with him, Ed from Maggiano's and had a great time playing with him. He was new to the area and I was able help him navagate the course. The greens were in excellent shape, 8, 9, and 18 are still some of the best holes in the area. I will play it again.

Scenic Tight Course
You would think this was a Metroparks course from the location but it has been a public, no frills, just golf course for years. Lots of trees, rolling hills, tight fairways and doglegs are the primary defenses of this classic Ne Ohio layout.
