Beckett Ridge Country Club
About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

10th Hole at Beckett Ridge Photo submitted by Wahwah87 on 04/10/2013
Things are getting better
Corse if in good shape and they almost have the cart paths replaced. Club house isn’t open yet but hope the inspectors get things checked off soon.
My new go to place!
Great greens!
Very fair fairways! No pun..They reward good shots and are forgiving for small mistakes.
If you draw or slice too much, well then, take your medicine!
They do need to get the GPS issue fixed. At least have better signage, GPS tells you wrong directions for getting to the parking.
Bad conditions
This course at one time used to be very nice. It has went downhill. The pins look like they’ve been there for at least a week. The grass around the holes were long there were so many places where everything was just burn out and then there is a lot of wet places very inconsistent. There’s no way this is worth $54 a person more like $20 a person. Such sad shape will never play that again plus there’s a guy in the trailer were you check in and the sign reads do not step inside the trailer so you got a yell to the guy in the trailer to ask questions it’s a really stupid set up too bad they didn’t put the money into the course like they did on some of the cart piles. This is the most disappointing golf course. I’ve played all year.
Decent Challenge for the Price
This was my second time playing Beckett and I appreciate the large amount of bunkers and tight fairways (at least on the front) that add to the challenge of this course. The greens have a variety of slopes and curves to them that keep putting and wedge shots interesting. I would for sure play here again. My only gripe is that I wish the 4 some with no one in front of them would have let me and my partner go thru so that our round could have been a little shorter!!
Decent Course Fair Price
Parked got out of my car and walked to a club house a fair distance away and the doors were locked. Made my way over to a trailer parked in the lot I asked if anyone was there and a real not too bright kid greeted me looking half way confused. Think Sean Penn Fast times at Ridgemont high. No Driving Range but a decent size practice hole par 3.
After this negative start it seemed to go pretty well Cart girl was nice, Warden was nice and the course looked pretty great for the price. It helped finding out that the first hole was a par 5 and my 4 was a birdie. The first nine the pace was great for me however the back nine was soo slow. I got stuck behind a group of guys that seemed related the the first feller’. All in all worth the greens fees w/ a cart.
Good course, only getting better
Only a few years into new ownership and they’re heading in the right direction. Will probably be a few more years before it’s 100%, but a great course nonetheless. Highly recommend.
Just say no
Played this course 15 yrs ago and remembered why we haven't been back. If u like hills, offset lies, ob and no cart person this is ur course.
Just say no
Was wondering why I haven't played this course in 15 years. I now know. If u love over hilly holes, lies above and below ur feet and plenty of ob, this is ur coirse.
Course is in good shape, they’ve done a lot to improve it. But clearly it’s cost them a good deal of money. They have now moved tee times to 8 minutes apart, which makes for ridiculously slow play. Sat and waited before every shot. The only other course I know of that does 8 minutes between tee times is green crest and that course is arguably the worst/slowest course in the area
Decent
Course was in good shape. Fairways were cut well, sand in the bunkers was fresh, and greens were fast but true. It was a tough day because it was so windy and the course was pretty booked, so that made for a slow round. I’d love a chance to play it in better conditions. Also looking forward to seeing how the clubhouse turns out.
Super fun course!
This course has invested a ton of money into bunker sand, seeding, and building a brand new clubhouse set to be complete in about a month. Staff is very friendly. They have a big putting green, snacks and drinks even without a clubhouse presently.
The course is super fun, not very narrow, attackable, but the greens are challenging in a good way. You won't be bored playing this course!
