i enjoyed everything except
the greens. Most were torn up and had huge patches of just dirt. From what I heard theyre in better condition than they were just recently. Anyway, other than that, it was a fun course and good for the money
Joduck121,
Thank you for your understanding in regards to our trials and tribulations over the greens at Coffee Creek. As you are aware we had significant damage inflicted to our greens this past winter/spring. Our maintenance crew has worked tirelessly to plug and improve their condition, and they have come along way.
We hope to see you back soon so you can enjoy the course under improved circumstances,

Good for the price.
Greens were a little rough, but good for the price.
Kevin,
Thank you for playing. I look forward to you playing again and letting us know how are greens have progressed.

Course is improving! 50% discount at counter.
This is a review from the course operator Andy McCormick.
Coffee Creek Golf Course had a very difficult winter and spring in 2014 and lost most of the grass on its greens. Currently the greens are improving rapidly. We look to have them in good shape in the next couple of weeks.
Currently we are still offering 50% off you booked rate. the discount is taken at the counter.
The rest of the golf course is in excellent condition.

Coffee Creek
Best bang for your buck in OKC, hands down! The staff was very informative and helpful. The course was in absolute great shape (other than some greens they were working on).
Tubukis,
Thank you for your nice comments about our course and our staff. We strive everyday to be a step above the other courses in the area. Hopefully in a few weeks our greens will be back to excellent playing conditions. They have come a long way from where they were this summer.

No grass on greens
Staff was very friendly. Great course layout. Fairways in great shape. NO GRASS ON GREENS. Said greens should be back in the Fall. I will go and play again when greens are repaired.
Will be better
The course had trouble with their greens. They are working on it but will be some time before they will be in playing shape.
Thanks for your comment. Our staff has been working very hard to get the greens back. i toured the course Monday of this week and was amazed at their progress. They should be back to normal in a few weeks.

Terrible greens
This course is a nice track and has the potential to be a really good golf course. But the greens are in terrible shape. They changed over from bent to Bermuda some time back, and for whatever reason they are 90% dead at the present time. The golf shop personnel were up front about the condition of the greens, and they offered a 50% discount in green fees (around $15.00). The rest of the course conditions were fine, and the course is a really good layout. But the condition of the greens makes giving this course a higher rating impossible (I cannot overemphasize how bad the greens are). If they can somehow get the grass to grow in on the greens and return them to good shape, I would recommend this course. But with their greens in the current condition, that is impossible to do.
Course condition
The greens were all dead. Basically dirt. The staff was sympathetic and gave us rain checks which we will never use. Golf Now customer service was excellent after calling the course they gave me a full refund.
has potential to be a very nice course
The tee boxes and fairways are in great condition, and good mix of challenging holes with easier ones. The main problem is that almost every green was burned up really bad! If they can get the greens in good shape again I will go back for sure!
Fun shorter course but greens are in bad shape
Ive played this course numerous times including late last year before winter set in. The greens back then were in great shape. The rough winter must've damaged them. Usually during the heat of summer, these are some of the best greens around Edmond/OKC. Hopefully, they will be back soon. The golf course looks great and the fairways are nice. The staff is very friendly and they accommodate singles. Fun short course worth playing
Mayor Mike,
Thank you for your nice comments about our staff and our course.
As you are aware our greens got hit really bad this winter and we are working diligently to repair them. They have come along way since early June and should be in good shape again soon.

Disapppointed in an Edmond jewel
I was scheduled to play this course on 7/2/14 with my son in law. Then I got the reviews from some friends that had just played there...the greens are in really bad shape...which is too bad after the club spent big bucks on replacing them last year. I didn't gamble with my son in law's only time to play while here, so i cancelled and booked at another local course....which was in excellent shape. Get Coffee Creek fixed! Sad to hear about the condition.
Rayhaefele,
I appreciate your thoughts regarding Coffee Creek Golf Course. It has been very unfortunate that the weather conditions this winter were so hard on us.
Our staff has worked extremely hard to bring the greens back. Currently thew are just a few weeks from being back to normal.
I hope we will see you back at Coffee Creek soon.

Best thing since sliced bread
The staff was freakin great. The greens blow but good price. Totally comin back(:
Don't waste your money.
This is a beautiful course that has suffered some sort of green destruction!! I mean complete destruction!! I can't see it getting better in the near future so save your Money.
Great course, diseased greens
I booked this course on GolfNow for $31.00 and when we showed up they said that their greens were dormant/diseased and hadn't responded to their treatments yet. They discounted the rate to $15.50 which made up for the condition. The greens were brown and very dead; worst I have ever seen. The course overall is beautiful and I can't wait to play it again when the greens are fixed. Hopefully they figure it out before the season next year because it is just a waste to have the greens in that kind of condition.
Coffee Creek Greens
This is a great course and ordinarily I would highly recommend it, but the greens are in terrible condition. It isn't that they were just aerated, they are dead, over 80% of the green, has no grass. Hopefully they will do something about it.
Maybe next year.
Right now it's 50% off all the time. And it's still not worth it. Greens are toast. Golf partner couldn't tell the difference from a ways off between the green and a sand trap. Gave it a second chance but it was horrible. Maybe just play to see how many GIR you can hit. Then pick your ball up and move on.
Terrible greens
I realize that maintenance is necessary and this golf course is probably well-maintained, but when the greens have been almost completely stripped of all grass, a customer should be warned in advance. The greens were about 90% bare yesterday. I'm sure it was for a good reason, but I should have been told before booking a tee-time. After the first two greens, I ended up playing to each green and then moving on to the next tee box without putting. I should have been told about the condition of the greens in advance.
Greens are Gone
Although I have played this course many times in the past and enjoyed the experience this round was extremely disappointing. I don't believe any of the greens were more than just sand and all were in extremely bad condition. Although I was told at the course about this green problem and a half off green fee, I had already paid on-line through Golf Now. Too bad warning can not be included in the online information.
Unusual Course
I play golf every week with my son and we try to play a different course every time and this was the first time to play this course. The price was VERY good, fairways were great, the course set up was nice, but the greens were trouble. In all fairness we were told about the greens before we started.
Overall I would say if the greens were grown in, this would be a great course and someday I will play this course again.
From Management.
Jagandy,
I want to thank you for playing our course last week and apologize for the green conditions. Coffee Creek had significant damage inflicted to the greens this winter/spring and have been working this summer to grow them in. During this process we had up to50% or greater discounting off our regular fees as well as working diligently to make all golfers aware of our conditions before they play. I am sorry if you did not get information to you before you played.
Over the last few seasons Coffee Creek has been in excellent condition and will be again soon. I hope you will consider coming back later in September as the greens will be significantly better in a few weeks.
