great place to play!!!
great place to play a round with some buddies. great friendly staff. now lets get to the reason why people read reviews, greens are great but about a foot off the greens bad all dead and dry spots, the fairways are great couldn't ask for better. and personally in my opinion the greens are small. overall 4-5 great coarse.
In need of a good course manager!
I consider this my home course but the last couple years course maintenance has gotten really poor. Tee boxes are never sanded or watered and it's tough to get a tee in the ground. The collar around every green stinks. The greens themselves are adequate.
Phaesant Run Enid OK
The course is moderate difficult. This is a good links course. Some water comes into play on 3-4 holes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the Bogie Grill is well worth it at the end of the round..
Terrible Shape
Course was in terrible shape and seemed like it hadn't been mowed in weeks. Weeds everywhere. Might be decent if you get one of the hot deals, but I'd never pay full price. They also booked a tournament two hours from our tee time and said "You can try and finish or I can give you your money back". How about, don't post the tee time, and don't tell me to call and make the tee time when you offer GolfNow times.
Great course and facilities
If you're looking for a fun and challenging course, you'll find it here. Course makes you hit it straight, if not have fun looking for your ball in the tall grass. Lots of water as well and excellent greens. Clubhouse has friendly faces and awesome food as well. Highly recommend pheasant run!
Decent for the price
Overall it was a decent round, except when the cart ran out of gas after the 5th hole! Didn't have phone and no one near so had to play in to clubhouse. They just said sorry and gave me keys to new one. Also, they have a bunch of players who don't know proper golf etiquette. Saw tons of divots that hadn't been repaired and a few groups refused to let me play through. Otherwise course looks great and greens are in great shape. Best public course in Enid.
Excellent
For the money it was outstanding. The best greens I've seen in 100 miles.
greens in great shape
fairways and greens great shape, sand traps well raked on day I played. not a lot of players on the morning I played even though weather was perfect. This course has great deals on Golf/Now. better than for other golf course in this City.
Solid
Good course. Great clubhouse environment. The pond close to the clubhouse smells horribly though. Seemed to take a whole to play. Good for the value though.
Good for the money...
Pace of play was excellent, very warm day mid to upper nineties not a lot of people playing at 1:30p on a Monday after a holiday. Staff very friendly, didn't eat or drink anything there from the course! Course conditions good everything mowed well, traps need a little more attention!
Simple layout
Course has a simple layout but is still fun to play. Some of the greens were in poor shape as well as the fairways.
Great value for your dollar
I've played the course several times, and I've never left disappointed.
*Pheasant Run is a links style course (similiar to one of the old Scottish or British course), and thus you have to take the Oklahoma wind into account on every hole. Water on 12 of 18 holes, tight fairways, and small, undulating greens makes for an interesting challenge that demands accuracy.
*I've played golf all over the U.S., and for public course, Pheasant Run easily has the best menu I've ever had (try the sweet potato fries). They have a full bar with plenty of selections on draft at reasonable prices.Pretty clubhouse, nice patio with view of 9th & 18th holes, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and flat screen TVs everywhere. In fact, my wife and steal over there for dinner here and there. .
Highly recommend Pheasant Run if you're in the Enid area.
Local+3
Poor conditions...too much investment on clubhouse and course is falling apart. Played every year here since it was built. Worst condition I have seen in a long time.
Course is excellent
Excellent on every level from greens to scenery to clubhouse
Nice course, nice price
Links style course, water on 13 of 18 holes, lots of bunkers. 4 sets of tees make it playable by most golfers. Back tees are a long haul, over 7200 yards and with the ever present winds on the plains of Oklahoma seems even longer.
The new club house is a super plus for the course
Friendly staff. Course in pretty good condition, with new golf cars. Great food and cold beer in the club house. Course layout is challenging, with a variety of dog legs left and right. Par 3's are ones to take a deep breath before a swing...
New course, needs work
I'm not sure what type of grass was in the fairway but it was sparse coarse and clumpy. The greens seem to be bent grass but were not mowed recently. The greens were not sparse, coarse or clumpy. I think with time this may be a very nice course. the greens were undulating and with some maintenance a bit of a challenge.
Great Customer Service; Very Accommodating Staff
When my 14-year old son reserved for Sunday (Easter) instead of Saturday, I was a bit bummed. But, when I called the course and asked if I could play Saturday instead of Sunday, they agreed without hesitation!! Then, when I arrived, they adjusted our size of group to allow us to all play together. Superb work. Customer focus seems to be their #1 priority. Keep up the great work
