Course conditions
Every year this course starts out great. However about June/July they let it get infested with disease and completely let it go. It’s like they stop watering and don’t care. They also don’t let u know when they greens are perforated at all? When Duffy was alive his courses were in way better condition. Sad to see.

Course needs some serious work
Played in a VGA tournament out there. Course was in horrible shape. Greens were trash. Sands were not kept. All the water jugs on the course were empty.
Fairways was so overgrown that I hit a tree stump I could not see. Worst round I played.
I used love taking the drive to Guthrie to play This course.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve and are working diligently to improve the course. Thank you for playing and we hope to see you again soon.
Do not waste your time
This was the worst course I have ever played. They are charging full price and you can’t even putt on the greens, it’s very laughable. Have the tees you have to hit a 200 yard shot, so you do not get to have fun for a normal city course. The fairways you are hitting off of rock or clay. They shouldn’t be charging more than $10 and that’s just so you can have a cart until the fix their course. Will never go back even if they sent me a free round.
The only person that was personable was the bartender. But to not have a bev cart on a Saturday…. Waste of time.
Fungus on the greens
Frsy time I played out here this year. They have a fungus that has eaten up a majority of the greens. So it was pretty tough putting.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Cimarron National Golf Club - Cimarron National Course, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Needs water
They haven’t turned on the sprinklers on the fairways all summer, the fairways are dead grass and exposed dirt and harder than a rock. The greens have major issue, slow and massive dead spots everywhere. Just another pasture golf course, Greens fees should be 20$ w cart on the weekend, if that tells you anything.

Not very good
The course was very dry and 90% of the fairways had very little green grass. Mostly dead white grass and weeds with sand in the fairways. The soil quality in many areas made it clear that lack of water wasn't necessarily the only issue. Many of the greens had some kind of disease like grass cancer or something. Dead spots and actual sand on the greens made putting more than difficult. It was overall a terrible value for the price of the green fee vs the quality of the course. Having said all that, the staff was very nice and the course layout was very well thought out. I'd love to play here with more work and care invested into the greens and fairways. In this condition I would not go back or recommend it another golfer.

ONLY IF YOU’RE DESPERATE.
Course was in horrible shape. Every green has a disease and fairways all weeds. Other than that it was great

Worst shape course/Not told of condition
The fairways were dead and you were basically hitting of dirt. The greens were even worse. They had several patches of grass missing and weeds. It was the WORST course I’ve ever played. I cannot believe they didn’t let me know before I paid so I could have decided if I still wanted to play or not. The best green was on 18 by the parking lot so you see it when you drive in. Will never be back.

Wait a while…..
I’ve been hitting this course at least once every six weeks for the past two years and always really enjoy either of the two courses. While playing on hard fairways isn’t abnormal in OK during the summer (especially those that don’t water them) and semi-expected, that was no surprise. However, the greens took an absolute nosedive down to levels I’ve never seen (at any course I’ve ever played). Not only was putting pretty much impossible, there were multiple hornets nests burrowing in the greens at several of the holes. Asked the pro shop staff afterwards and was told there were mistakes in turf management as of late, and they seemed sincerely apologetic…….but they shouldn’t be charging full price right now with these conditions. Again, we typically love playing these courses at Cimarron, but it will be quite a while before we go back. Played Cedar Valley just down the road three weeks later, and it was great as usual…….so the reason Cimarron went downhill is a head scratcher. Hopefully they can get things turned around soon, but it looks like my fall/winter visits I usually have here will be a no go.

Greens in horrible shape
I fully understand lack of rain and heat playing havoc on greens but these were in horrible shape. Incredible amount of weeds and way too many large bare spots. The bare spots were also painted green which stained shoes and balls. The holes had been recently moves and clumps of hard sand left around the new holes. We played the course earlier in the year it it was in far better shape.

Nice layout
Too bad it had been so dry in the area. Really baked out conditions. Would love to play again when it is in better shape.

DO NOT PLAY THIS DUMP
Worst condition of any golf course we've ever played. Bone dry "fairways" diseased greens with several hornet nest holes in some. If it wasn't for the awesome Clubhouse and Bar, it wouldn't get a single star. Avoid this course.

Oklahoma Muni in the Summertime
Most courses are in rough shape due to the extreme heat, so this review would be about the same for any typical muni right now. Because of the extreme heat, they are also keeping the greens very long and like shag carpet, which as a scratch golfer, I personally dislike. They look great but boy are they slow. I went on a Tuesday in hopes of getting to play more than one round, but unfortunately didn’t have the time. I would still recommend it, but wait until people say the greens are cut and are running normally. Then go.
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Cimarron National Golf Club - Cimarron National Course!
Nice course
Had a nice round. Very friendly staff and golfers. Had a bit of slow down with too many on a hole ahead but the Marshall was good to talk to them.

We enjoyed playing the course and we like the lay out . My friends came from Muskogee and they plan on coming back and bringing extra players.. Hopefully this will be something we will do yearly.

Aqua Canyon
Definitely an easy course but poses a good challenge. Fairways and greens were good especially
In the morning. Carts are in good shape, which is a big plus! One of my favorites and do not mind making the trip to Guthrie.
