Premium rate at $129. Besides the greens which were in very good shape the rest of the course was not. Fairways were marginal at best. The course needs work. Cart paths are beat up tee boxes were bad. Crumbling retaining walls. Pace if play was slow. The group in front of us had over 2 open holes in front of them. We didn’t see a ranger all day. They have 5 guys standing around the bag drop assuming to make tips. Zero interest in pace if play. Staff seemed like they didn’t want to be bothered when we inquired about the ranger. There are several courses within 20 min that are far superior in course condition and customer service for half the price.

Course has nice layout. Well kept despite some wildlife. Tough for my skill level. Cool uphill 9th hole, didn't get to play back 9 but looking forward to it.

The layout is wonderful, with nice views and elevations. The rough was thick, which was challenging to say the least. Greens were in good shape, but pin placement was challenging. Carts were excellent, with good power and smooth steaming. Overall a 5 star day. I’ll definitely play again, but morning is too expensive for what you get.

They decided not to cut the rough a d if you were off the fairway your ball got buried. IT added 10 strokes to your score. I have never seen their rough that long. Make sure to call and ask if they cut teh rough before playing this course

I had mini outing on Sept 11 which was Sunday morning. I went into the pro shop to check in. This guy named Paul asked me what my tee time was. I wasn't sure of the tee times and the name of the person who booked it since we had few tee times for mini outing so I could not really spell it out. He kept asking me the name, so I tried to give him few names and tee times, but he goes, NOP, and then after another one, NOP....he kept saying "you gotta give me the name" So i said jokingly...hmm no name no play? then he goes yep. It was such a ridiculous answer I ever heard from a pro shop. We had 13 players playing on that day and about half of them play in Womens league at NYCC. I hope the management of NYCC reads my review and take some kind of measurement toward re-training of the particular employee. Its a great course but it can be excellent course if you can focus on customer service.

Drought has obviously had an impact, but course overall in good shape. Challenging, but not unfair, although I do believe that some of the white tees were a little far back for average golfers of ordinary driving length .

One peculiar experience, having nothing to do with the course. While waiting for 2nd green to be cleared, and standing by my ball, the golfer behind me came up and asked if I was playing his ball. I said it was mine. He then proceeded to drive ahead of me all the way up to the green, circling his cart around the collar. He then went back and found his ball 40 yards behind mine, but then decided without asking me to play his ball up onto the green.. I returned his ball to him, to his chagrin. I gather he was a member who did not think golf etiquette was required of him.

The greens are challenging but the pin placements on a few holes were just unfair. If you are on the wrong side of the green your ball cannot stay on the green. If you don’t know this (no local knowledge) you are screwed. The carts have no gps so good luck.

Second time playing. Par fives are long and tough. Uphill holes are really tough. But on the other hand, downhill holes are really fun. Greens are in great shape. Stay out of the long thick rough very close to the greens.

It was 90 degrees out and they had cart path only. No where did it say that when you booked the reservation. Paying for a cart you have to leave a Mike away is dumb.

Dry conditions due to the drought kept it cart path only.
