Good experience
Great day for golf. Not crowded at all! We were able to play 18 holes in less than 3 hours! Course in good shape
Plenty of parking available on a perfect weather day!
Plenty of places to park when I arrived. The lady at the desk was super nice and accommodating. The cart was well maintained. A foursome teed off while I was approaching the 1st tee.(likely regulars). They never let me play through the entire round. I don't hold the course responsible for the players lack of golf course ethics but that will prevent others from coming back.
Great day
Played the course with my 9 year old son. He is learning the game. The set up of the course really helped his confidence and assisted in his education of the game. Great day and memories.
Friendly Staff
Overall good course nice layout only complaint are some fairways need some work
Really like the layout. The greens are really good. The tee boxes and fairways are a bit lacking, but are ok. We like the course and will be playing it again.
9 x 2 Golf
The layout of this 9 hole course is really good. Wide greens provide for a good lie. However, on my golf outing it was difficult to tell where the separation of the fairway and rough were. Maintenance needs to do a lot of grass cutting from tee to green and everything in between. I would still recommend playing this course, especially if you are in a hurry and only have time for 9 holes.
Great Course
This was a quick play, a great course for a municipal golf course. Greens and fairways were well maintained. The staff at the club house were great and inviting. The course for the most part is wide open. I'll return again
Water lilies at 8
We enjoyed this little 9 hole that you play twice liked the layout. The 8th hole was so pretty with water lilies on the pond!
Great public course!
Booked a "hot deal" for this course and ran late. Called the course to inform them I was running behind and would not show up for my tee time. The lady at the pro shop was extremely friendly and assured me that they would still honor our deal. I've played this course several times. You get what you pay for, like anything else. If this course was immaculate, the prices would be substantially higher. It is "on par" with a lot of the public, municipal courses I've played, and at times has been in better shape that some of the "executive" courses I've played over the years. Course is about 45 minutes from my house or I'd play it more frequently, due to it being in better condition and a better value that the local offering(especially with the hot deals). Carts and paths are fairly well maintained, I've never had doubts about making it around the course in one of their carts. Terrain is relatively flat, with wide open fairways for the most part, and allow a safe "gamble" on some holes. Fairways were a little shaggy, and a few greens had some issues, but overall it was still manageable. Two holes have water hazards that come into play depending on shot accuracy/selection. This is not a PGA professionally manicured course, so if you go in with realistic expectations, you should enjoy your round. Would recommend this course to any beginner/intermediate/recreational golfer. Easy access off I-35.
Needs more time
The greens were in very bad shape. They have been aerated and heavily sanded, but the combination of un-seasonably cool weather and rain has slowed the growth and actually looked like there was some loss on many of them. Fairways are coming along but need to be mowed a little tighter. The layout is very good.
Not that bad!
This course is not too bad for a 9 hole small town city owned course. There are some bad spots in the fairways and a few bad spots on the greens. They are really trying to get the weeds under control but started a little too late in the year & killed the grass spot killing while killing weeds, the grass probably won"t recover this late in the year. Otherwise is not a bad course for the money.
Course in bad shape
The fairways were full of weeds. There was a broken sprinkler in the middle of number 9 fairway . The greens had several burnt spots on them. When you putted the ball bounced all over. this course needs lots of attention
Nice layout
Very nice layout for a 9 hole, hole 4 and 5 are challenging, over a water hazard, the rest of the course is open and fairly easy. overall, I really enjoyed playing there.
Wasn't expecting much, and that's about right.
Ok, I was able to get a great hot deal on this tee time. The course was really bad, the fairways were rough and not really any grass variety, more just a mowed weed bed. There were areas that were cracked from drying that literally would eat a golf ball. It simply needs an infusion of money, which in today's economy is unlikely. The staff was really friendly, and the snacks / drinks are very reasonably priced.
