Public Course Worthy of a Second Look
Staff was welcoming as we checked in at the clubhouse. We had a little difficulty finding the second tee, but other golfers were very helpful and pointed us in the right direction. Fairways were well kept and interesting. Greens were also great and quick. Plenty of water, sand and natural areas to deal with[I left a few balls in the brush and pond]. Overall it was a fun day, on the 18th I hit my straightest drive of the day and had a 9 iron to the green.
Intriguing municipal course.
Challenging course with forgiving boundaries for errant shots. Exceptional place to play.
Carts?
I found it quite pathetic that they ran out of carts. I was forced to walk the course because they spread themselves too thin. I had a 930tee time. I saw people before and after me with carts. They had some
Senior tournament that essentially had the front 9 shut down all day, so I had to play the back twice.
Rout 66 golf
Fun layout, greens are in great shape. Some tight fairways, but very playable for the average golfer
A few of the fairways had some bare places, but overall course conditions were great. Lateral water comes into play on 3 or 4 holes, but I don’t think there is a sand trap on the whole course.
You can’t beat it for the price.
Nice course with a good layout
I enjoy playing here. It is uniquely designed with forgiving boundaries. Excellent conditions of the grounds and very nice place to play.
Excellent time
First time to play Sapulpa Municiple. Great value and challenging. Plenty of opportunity to find your errant hits if not in the plentiful water. Only issue was shared cart path and finding next hole. Definitely will play again.
Uninformed
Booked online for the discounted Golfnow price of $19. Turns out EVERY Wednesday is $19. Paid unnecessary convenience fees. Golfnow didn't indicate that Sapulpa had aerated and sanded the greens on the front nine. Played back nine twice which was fine but 2 1/2 hours first time through. 2nd nine went much quicker.
Nice challenge!
Really enjoy this course. Narrow and water on almost every hole. Plus nice friendly staff.
Great courswe for the money
There is enough water on the course to keep your interest. They are working hard to improve the course. Greens are slow but true. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Cold Winter Golf
Decided to play this course based on the discount and available time. The weather was cold and windy but the course was in pretty good shape for the middle of winter. The staff let me go a little early to get in front of the regular Saturday group and the pace of play was good. I'll definitely try this course again when the grass is green and the weather warmer.
Nice
I like this course a ton, the greens are slicker than a biscuit and I like that ! The pin positions are a real pistol sometimes.
Sapulpa.... It's getting better.....
I wrote a review a while back that was not kind to the Managers of the course. They have stepped it up. The staff was efficient and took time to answer a few extra questions. They have a program that supports the local school Golf Program and it was this that my grandson played w/ me. Winter golf is never as easy as Summer conditions but the course was in pretty good shape. But it's still sneaky long and has much water. But it has a few holes you can score well if you hit good shots. Overall, it was a good day for golf at Sapulpa, in December.
