Casperkill Golf Club
About
Casperkill Golf Club in Poughkeepsie is situated in the heart of the Hudson River Highlands, surrounded by acres of lush, rolling countryside. The course wanders through stands of towering oak trees and circles a few tranquil ponds before moving along the banks of its namesake creek. The gently rolling hills provide the course with elevated tees and terraced greens. Robert Trent Jones designed the golf course in 1944. He created a traditional layout that fully utilizes all of the features of the scenic terrain. The course finishes with a player-friendly hole that offers a great opportunity for a birdie. There is a bunker in front of the green but if played smartly as a three-shot hole, golfers will be generously rewarded. In addition to the golf course, Casperkill also offers a driving range with multiple target greens and a large practice putting green with a chipping and bunker area.

Fairways and greens are in excellent conditions great job
Very nice course during the drought conditions
First time back to play this course again. It is in a very good shape. We were playing with another nice couple as a 4somes. Greens and fairways are In beautiful conditions and we will definitely going back again.
Challenging and fun
Not a course for beginners. Long holes and obstacles. This course rewards good shots and punishes bad ones. Mostly fair play. A few greens can be a bit much with pin placements on hills. If you miss, it is right back at your feet.
Exciting course
Great course with exciting layout and challenging greens, The course was in a great shape, despite the dry weather conditions. Do not expect too much about services, but it playing good golf is the place to go to. The course also has a good driving range, along with chipping and putting practices. Overall, great experience and plan to go back here in the future.
RE: QUICK DOWNPOUR
A 30 MINUTE QUICK DOWNPOUR defintely made the course a little wet in certain spots but otherwise the course was very nice. tough greens but it was out first time.... definitely coming back ...
No more
Since I'm moving, I decided to play Casperkill one more time before I left town. I should've played some place else.
The price and the pace of play are not worth it. I could've played The Links at Union Vale for the same price, and the Links is a top 10 course in the state. Also, I would've played The Links in 4 hours. My round at Casperkill was 5+ hours. Multiple people who were behind us, drove off the course and quit because of how slow it was. The brutal pace of play makes it not fun to play here anymore. I used to zip through and have fun. Also, there was no ranger and the starter told us we were running behind because he squeezed a few member groups out in the morning. So not only are we behind schedule, but the course is also packed to the gills.
Also, the greens at Casperkill are insanely slow.
Casperkill Golf
Great course layout, pace of play is excellent on weekdays.
Casperkill Golf
Course is great condition. Even with all the recent high temp’s and humidity the greens are rolling good and true.
Good time decent pace
Cool playing ibm course. Greens were in good shape, but inconsistent. Could have been morning dew drying out though.
