Surrey surely can be better!
I took three of my coworkers to this course today, and I have played it twice before . We were all disappointed in the lack of any partially green grass in the fairways, as it was mostly dead. Also, the greens were cross cut and so fast they were like Astroturf. Furthermore, as the ball was going across the surface of the putting green it would not really follow a true path. None of us have seen a course in this region that when you hit the ball way up in the air 150 yards out and it drops on the green that there are no divot mean. Just a puff of sand where the ball dropped would fly up. Overall, playing in between homes, crossing neighborhood streets to get to different holes was not our cup of tea.
Don’t waste your time
Just people everywhere, I guess they were starting guys on 10 and 1. Overall cluster. Greens were like putting in a sand box. Would never pay full price atleast on the hot deal I could quit after 9 holes and not be too upset about it.
Paid for 18 and left after 7. First three greens are roped off and covered in sand spots. Probably a great local course but looks and plays nothing like expected.
Rough shape
We’ve played surrey hills several times. I’m not sure what they are doing, but the greens are really rough, the fairways are chunky, and the tee boxes don’t have anywhere to place the ball on even ground. They appear to be making improvements, so hopefully the course will be in better shape in the coming months.
Sand on Greens
I understand that this is part of the yearly maintenance, but Golf Now should have advised us that the greens had sand all over them! We may of chose a different location
I putt into tress
Course was in rough shape but the pace of play was excellent!! Course lay out is very confusing so it made play a little difficult. Over all we did enjoy ourselves and the course.
Fun and tough
Pretty fun course. Pretty rough too. Greens and fairway needed a little work I think. Other than that amazing time
Pace of play
No marshal whatsoever, live out here and play course regularly, but will not get a membership due to the “1 o’clock” group and random members that don’t think normal golf etiquette and rules applies to them.
There is no such thing as a normal round of golf out here. Random groups hop in on the back nine and slow things down tremendously, and by groups, I mean more than 6 ppl. Need a marshal, and the changes start at the clubhouse but they will not address the elephant in the room. No other course in the metro or the state operates that way
Always Fun
Great layout, simple but difficult in some spots. Greens conditions continue to improve, and not many super sloped greens.Hard Pan’s a beyotch but welcome to anything East of I-35 right now.
Review
Fairways could use some work/water but a very fun course with a varying degree of difficulty! People are pleasant and staff is great
Good solid course
First time out here. First, if you want to hit more than 10 balls to warm up, get a medium size buckets of range balls. I got the small, my fault, and it literally had 10 or so in there. My old body needs some more to warm up, so will grab bigger next time. Anywho, the practice green is nice and big as well as the chipping area. The range is a bit small, but does the job. Played with 2 others, both better than me, but had a great time. The course has a few rough patches on the fairways and greens. Really should patch or rope off to get them to come back. Bunkers were inconsistent with sand, unfortunately I hit a lot that day. The greens were really fast and rolled true but would not hold anything over a pitching wedge shot. I made one divot because I threw it to the moon. Back nine is much shorter and you need to play strategically. Decent course for the money. Will go back soon!
Pace of play
Pace of play is non existent every time I play. No marshal to enforce it either. Random members (mens group) hops on holes at random times and slows pace of play even more. Horrible management
