This course is in excellent condition
Plush fairways, greens roll true, tee boxes clean. Greens not super receptive unless you hit a high spinner. All in all the course is in the best condition of any course I’ve played in the Adirondack area this year including Saratoga national!
November golf in Lake George region
Hiland is a beautiful golf course, even though it was late November the course was in great shape..Our foursome played in 4 hours and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Enjoyable
I know it is fall golf but was disappointed with conditions today. I drive an hour and a half to play this beautiful course but it was not up to par today. Greens needed to ha debris blown off and bunkers looked like they have not been maintained for many days. I still highly recommend this course and will return because this is unusual for this course
Always a pleasure to play Hiland
Despite all greens aerated one week ago the ball rolled well / I have been playing golf for 58 years / now 70.
We travel 50 min to play this course 4-5 times a year
It is challenging but fair / Great track / Plenty of green grass everywhere.
Fall Golf
The course is located in a beautiful part of Queensbury. The greens were recently aerrated making putting difficult. Many of the women’s tees were either in bad shape or being replaced otherwise a very nice day and the scenery could not have been ordered up better. Leaves already changing colors fairways still lush and green. It was a good walk well spoiled. Kudos to the staff and groundskeeping crews. However being a woman I had to add that the ladies tees could be better kept up.

This was our first time at this course.Personnel at course very friendly, we were greeted by the starter upon arrival, he gave us the all the information we needed to start our round. He also informed us that they had just aerated the greens and sanded them, unfortunately for us. Course was well laid out, plenty of signage to holes. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were well kept, other than the end of season maintenance on greens. Starter said after every Labor Day they do this. I would definitely try this course again in season.

I was a member of this course years ago traveling 50 minutes one way / my friends and I play a local course for the last few years, but enjoy this more manicured and challenging layout here a few times a year / we are all low handicap players 2-6 and ages 65-70 still teeing it up from the whites / PLAY THIS COURSE !!
