Amazing!!!!
Absolutely beautiful course. Very well maintained. Just all around great course. Deffinately recommend this course
Vacation Rounds
A friend and I were vacationing nearby. We looked for courses near us, and chose Hiland based on tee time available and the rate. The senior rate was $40 with cart. We played there on 8/2 and decided to go back on 8/5. We played from the gold tees. We were able to play as a 2some, as were others. On 8/2 play almost ground to a halt on our back 9, so we skipped a hole around them. No rangers out there either day.
There is a beverage cart roaming the course, and there is a nice bar and grill. For me, it was a great experience. We weren't in a hurry.
Great Course
I think this is one of the nicest public courses in the area.. Great staff, Great layout, Challenge for all levels of players...
Call ahead
Today was the worst round I’ve had at this course, I generally play here as a “ golf now” member and have been here numerous times for over a year. Apparently there was a league playing and at least 4 groups were lined up at each hole waiting to play behind this league. They were loud ( playing rap music on the course) and very destructive, I was replacing divots out of respect for this course as these guys had none. I wish management had someone on course to keep the players moving. I’d call ahead for a schedule before I would book there again. I’m very disappointed as this is one of my favorite courses and I travel close to 30 miles to get there.
Course Condition
The course is in good shape. Tee boxes are good. Fairway are in great shape. Greens are good. Pro shop personnel are very friendly. Would definitely recommend this course.
Round issue
Course started us on 10. When we came around to 1 there was a long wait. I believe a league was going out. Forced to play the back nine again which was a bit disappointing
Well Maintained
My second time playing this course and conditions were excellent. One of the best clubhouses that I have ever seen. Worth a visit.
Quality public course
I consider hiland park to be at the tho of thr list for public courses in thre lake George area. The course confirms are excellent and the layout requires shots of all types . A fun course and friendly staff.
Players of every level
As a relatively new golfer and a lady, I appreciate the multiple tees so that I can play with better players. The course is outstanding and always in great shape. I highly recommend it!
Amazing
Up here on a weeklong family vacation so was able to play early on a weekday. Had what seemed like a slow group in front of us but still finished in 3 1/2. Wonderful staff, amazing facilities and great course with a variety of holes, great balance of forgiveness and challenges at spots. Will def play again next year.
Gem
Great course
Beautiful conditions
Perfect greens

Hiland
Overall, a very solid course due to the grass conditions of rough and fairways but many tees need an upgrade (several uneven/lack of repairs) and and traps were very poorly maintained (weren’t raked or nearly enough sand). That said, course was enjoyable and will play again in the future. Course has the potential to be excellent with proper maintenance.
Enjoyable
Everything was great. Fairways greens tees bunkers all in great shape. Nice pace of play good staff. I play here 3 or 4 times a year but 1 1/2 hour drive and worth it. Highly recommend
A must play!
What a gem! Another vacation round in the books. Shot 93, not bad for the first round here. The course was almost perfect. Every green was fantastic. Fast and plenty of break. Well maintained. Fairways were sharp and tight. Rough was very playable. Bunkers perfect and smooth. Most of the tee boxes were very good and mostly flat. 3.5 hours to ride, even though behind a few groups. Could have been sub 3 hours, but I didn’t try to play through.
It’s mostly flat and very straightforward. A few holes where you definitely only need a 5 iron off the tee for position and have 100-130 to the green. Generous fairways that have plenty of roll out. It was 3pm when I teed off and pretty humid, the cart girl did several loops which was helpful. You can definitely play the dog legs aggressively and leave yourself scoring opportunities. Had an eagle chip off the 16th but no dice. Par 3s are very inviting, made birdie on the 3rd, and almost another on the back nine. Couple greens are tiered, but will feed to the hole with a nice approach shot. Par 5s should be treated as 3 shot holes in my opinion, especially with the water in play. Definitely a strategy course to use every club in the bag. I loved it. If I lived here, I’d play here all the time. Also , Jim in the pro shop was very helpful. First thing he did was hand me a yardage book and offer advice. Ideal customer service. I’d upload images,
But too big picture files from the phone. Highly recommend the course to any skill level.
Good Golf Day
Course in Great Condition , Pace of Play , very good Bang for Buck , very good - not overly welcoming in Pro Shop - could care less .
