Over watered and uncut
This course can be quite challenging even though it is only a par 3 course. All holes are over 100 yards and the longest is 180. I'm giving this a rating of 4 stars because at our tee time of 8:10AM the greens nor the tee boxes had been cut. The greens didn't need to be cut, however, they were covered in dew from the early morning watering. There was standing water and muddy areas, something that shouldn't be present when there hasn't been any measurable rain for nearly 3 months. The course superindendent should know how to better care for this course.
Fall 18 hole
Good day to get out. Quiet and serene. Course was a bit soggy around some of the holes and edges of fairway but otherwise great day out !
Lovely local Par 3
Pace of play is nice here, it plays quick, but mostly amateur or relaxed golfers here so if you are bringing newer golfers into the sport, it's less anxiety inducing for rookies.
Greens!
Worst ever. Your greens keeper is either a rookie or blind to what he did to your course! You should warn potential customers that you've just aerated and sanded, offer a discount, or a free round sometime. My friends and I won't be back.
Fun course.
Course was in hood condition, staff was friendly, paired up with some friendly golfers!
Great staff
Very welcoming drink lady and friendly, efficient desk clerk.
Great course
Once again we had a pleasant round at SHL. We’ll be back soon!
Late Summer Soggy??
It's the middle of summer and I've never played a course this way! We were sinking in the greens while we were standing there. It was like walking around in soup
Fun Par 3 course!
Great way to work on your iron game. Staff was friendly and the grounds were very nice
Quality Par 3 Course
I play here regularly. As a newer golfer I appreciate that it's a par 3 so holes are shorter but there is still a degree of challenge. There are bunkers and shots over water that keep things interesting as I improve my golf skills
Average course at best
The real benefit of playing this course is to work on your iron play. The greens are too slow however.
Thanks for your comments and the positive review. Concerning the uncut and over watered issues, please note that virtually all golf courses do not mow greens on Monday's to give them a rest, as for the damp spots, yes it hasn't rained in months and has been one of the hottest summers in recent years. Therefore, we must irrigate to keep the course green. Irrigation is not an exact science and we sometimes have wet spots as a result. Anyhow, we hope you still continue to visit Sah-Hah-Lee, we enjoy having you here.
