Beautiful course
This course is located in southern Oregon. Set in the hills. Full of personality. Black and blue tee give a golfer some difficulty. White and red tees gives some forgiveness. Recommend this course to everyone
New owners continue to make good progress bringing the course back from the brink of "near unplayable."
Best Value in Southern Oregon
Fun layout and beautiful scenery. We played during the week, so playing time was very fast.
I'm not the longest off the tee, so this relatively short yardage course suits me great.
Saw deer and wild turkeys, but not too many Canada geese, so the fairways were not all messed up!
Just enough undulations in the greens to make putting challenging and fun!
New Owners
Course has run down the last 2 years, but the new owner has just taken over. Some improvements have already started, hope to see many more.
fun place to golf
Staff is super friendly the prices are second to none the best bang for the buck The Back Nine are my favorite. it's not the best greens are slow but you will have a good time golfing here.
Up and coming
I have played Stone Ridge many times in the past. Currently, the new owner is working on repairing this course. As you play you’ll see the changes being made. I have a lot of hope for this course. Everyone I speak to love this course as do I. It will be very interesting to see the changes. If you have an opportunity to come out and play this course it is definitely worth the money.
Poor course condition
This was once my favorite course in the area, however in the last year maintenance has been very poor and the lack of water has left this once beautiful course in need of a lot of care.
The staff is outstanding and very accommodating, they get a 5 star rating!
Smokey but nice...
After the 1st 9 holes watching the twosome in front of us taking 3 muligans each, then spending time looking for all their balls, drinking and leaving their beer cans on the t-box...pace was much better and our day turned out to be fun! Must have patience to play here...
Conditions played winter rules, so lots of dry areas. We saw a skunk, deer & one white heron & one grey. We enjoyed the wild life!
Disappointed
The fairways are in terrible condition, the greens are fair, tee boxes are in need of desperate care. We had to wait 10-15 minutes per hole and with the temperature nearing 100 degrees made the wait seem longer. Stone Ridge has always been one of my favorite courses, it is in need of some TLC! I will be back and hopefully things will be better.
Ok Course
Some interesting holes. Greens in good condition. Bunkers not so much. Fairways pretty dried out. Borderline for the $$.
Solid Value Course
This course is a good value for the golf. Greens are in good shape, but not very fast. Some fairways can have some little soggy wet spots (even in the summer) or some rough spots. The course is at least interesting layut, quite, and requires something other than driver on some non par threes which is nice. I think for the money it is a good value, and fun to play.
Views
Love playing this golf course the views are awesome.
Best Value in Southern Oregon
Very friendly management. Beautiful setting, views of Mt. McLoughlin, Table Rocks, with no homes built around the course. Elevation changes, water hazards, wide fairways. Even an osprey nest on 14. Absolutely the best value golf experience in Southern Oregon.
Great layout, fun to play, super friendly staff
This was a fantastic experience. Friendly staff got me playing early. Course was in really good shape. A lot of variety to the layout. Very scenic. Old school golf, how it should be! Try this course, you won't be disappointed.
Nice layout but not winter course.
1st beautiful layout. Nice people in the clubhouse.
But the course was to wet actually close to being unplayable as every fairway had some measure of. standing water and fairways had been mown for some time.
Great greens.
I will go back but only during the summer. There dryer courses to be played in the area.
Great Layout
The layout is very challenging but fun. Each hole very different. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
