excellent Oregon course
I love the elevated tees and scenery. Scott, the pro is amazing and a nice man. This course offers the best value in Southern Oregon by far
Was like a cow pasture
Drove 200 miles to play this course plus another (Eagle Point).. You know you're in trouble when they have a permanent sign on the 1st tee that says "play winter rules" in the summer! We had to go to long tees to clear the grass on the TEE BOXES! Took just 2 of us 4&1/4 hours in a CART to play 18 holes because we couldn't find the balls in the fairways because of the length of the grass! Was their "club championship" day. You might think they would have the course in some sort of playable condition? You would be wrong! Called them 2 days later and response was: "we don't listen to criticism". Really.....You're on your own this course. Might have been fun but they are scrimping big time.
A fun day at Stone Ridge!
The course was in good shape with soft greens. We were able to aim at the pins knowing the greens would hold our shots. The course set up includes lakes, creeks, elevations and contours. We had a great day.
great day
Moderate length so I had a chance to reach on most holes. The greens are in great shape. Very interesting design.
Fun course and great value
Great value course with friendly staff. Well maintained and greens in great shape. They putt true and hold well so you can go right at the pin. Nice layout with sufficient water and traps to keep your game honest. Overall - Lots of fun
Nice course and with a little love would be great value
Several of the tee boxes need attention with one par 3 blue set that had no grass at all. The greens and fairways are in good shape but on the day I played many fairways had large wet spots from over watering by sprinklers. Some sprinklers were running while I was playing my 2:30 tee time, which was annoying. Overall I like the course and would probably give it another try in the future but could not recommended it to a friend without caveats.
This course has great features
The greens are in great shape. Some of the fairways have a great layout, downhill lies, nice dog legs, elevated par 3s. I would come back.
Much improved course.
The greens have never been in as good as shape but were still slow for the middle of the summer. Still some soggy spots but very fun characteristics. This is a very good course for money paid.
Every green has different characteristics, making them fun to putt on. Different elevations and contours give a little adjustment to each hole played
The staff are very friendly to work with, have an ample snack and soda[or beer] lounge, and all greens, fairways and tee boxes are well maintained, my favorite course for my local area.
Nice course
Course was fairly well maintained, however the men's tee boxes need attention. The sand was not well maintained and also needs attention. The front nine play went well but the back nine was slowed down by a fivesome. We will definitely play again.
stone ridge is an all around great value
stone ridge has many challenges, from the par 3's to the long par 5's. the long and sometimes flat fairways and the fast greens are a nice feature.
interesting course, great greens, fairways need some attention
Really enjoyed visiting Stone Ridge. The walk was challenging, especially the back nine, with a fair amount of elevation change. Greens were in great condition, but fairways could use attention. Overall a very good value and I would come back!
Challenging Course With Great Views of the Valley
Nice layout with a lot of room between holes. Water can come in to play on several holes.
Very nice layout. Interesting holes.
Course was in good condition. Greens were a little inconsistent. Possibly because of fairly recent aerification. Fun to play. Could be a premier course if kept in top notch condition.
My main complaint is that the yardage markers are fairly tough to see. It would be a major enhancement if they added yardages to the sprinklers.
Beautiful location, fun course.
My buddy and I enjoyed this course, with its views of the countryside, Table Rocks and Mt. McLaughlin, with no homes encroaching on the fairways. Friendly staff and a good challenge.
The most scenic course in the Rogue Valley
I have played all of the courses in the Rogue valley and Stone Ridge is the all around best . Other courses have some features that surpass Stone Ridge, but for an enjoyable round that will challenge all golfers from different tee boxes, with views that will take your breath away, Stone Ridge stands out as the best in the valley.
Excellent Unique Course
Great Staff, well maintained, hills are great for exercise if you choose to walk. Driving range is very nice with lots of markers, and no mats.
