Poor Condition
Fairways were almost totally brown and mowed to about 1/2 inch long so every lie was a "tight lie". A few of the greens were in good condition, but most were bumpy. There was supposed to be 2 tee boxes per hole, but this was confusing. The 4th hole had 2 tee boxes, but both were identified as the "4th" instead of one being the "13th". We couldn't find a second tee box for one of the holes. In general, the tee boxes were dry and dusty.
Best course around!
Cedar Bend is a great little course. Par 3s are just the right length and challending. One par 5 is reachable even for an old man like me.
There is a little creek that winds its way thru several holes. One hole in particular number 7 is a little booger. The creek is right in front of the green and you can't make a mistake on the approach shot. I have lost many of balls in that darn creek.
Number nine is a long par 4 and a great closing hole.
The course is easy to walk and a cart is not necessary. Pace of play is perfect.
The only drwaback is that some members jump on the course on number 4 and causes an interuption to he pace of play.
The snack bar makes a a good burger and they have Ardh Rock Brewery on tap! Got to love that!
Nice Course, Friendly Staff
Nicely maintained although fairways were a bit dry. Greens were in good condition.
WOW ALL THIS FOR $4.99 if you play at 2:30 pm any day of the week, Which includes cart.
I've traveled through out the US for 2 yrs. in a Motor home logged 25,000 miles and have played golf in almost every state. Cedar Bend golf course is the best course I've found.
They have an RV park, driving range, certified professional for lessons, excellent friendly staff, good quality food, reasonable prices in the pro shop, inexpensive 19th hole bar, great views from the large patio and club house, wild life for your viewing pleasure, a natural creek that runs t/o the course, dual pins for each hole yellow for the frt. 9 and red for the back 9,
which gives it the feel of an 18 hole course, and multiple well groomed T boxes. The staff are extra friendly, helpful, and thoughtful, the club members are the most friendly group of golfers I have ever meet in my 50 years of playing golf.
I came here to play a few rounds and move on, but I fell in Love with the Course, members, staff, wild life, weather, location, trees and ocean. I stayed for 3 weeks and it was the best golfing adventure I have had.
Sincerely, Frank Spears from where ever I'm parked.
Hidden Gem of a Golf Course!
This is a great little 9 hole golf course about one hour south of Bandon Oregon. They have 9 holes but two flags on each green. We actually played 18 holes from two different tee boxes. Yellow Tee Boxes to the Yellow Flag on the front 9, then Red Tee Boxes to the Red flag on the back 9. There is a creek that winds through the whole course which makes it quite beautiful. It is a fairly wide course so it was fun to get the Driver out and Swing Away!
We got there around 9:00 am and saw multiple mama deer and their fawns bouncing around the course, this alone was very cool!
The staff was really friendly and the Burgers we had at the turn were AWESOME!
If you are ever in the Gold Beach Oregon area and would like to play an affordable and fun course, please make sure to stop by and check out Cedar Bend Golf Club. For the money, scenic beauty, play-ability and fun, this course is a real Gem! I am sure you will agree.
