Great course for seniors. Relatively easy, but can still present a challenge. Excellent staff, from pro shop to starters, always willing to help.
Amazing Monday
The green were soft, the fairway wet but to what at a a great day of golf. Plugged a lot of shots but considering the rain we have had it was in great shape.
Just ok
Got this as a hot deal for $14, great for the price, but that's it
Greens were all different speeds
Bunkers are shocking, some have loads of sand and some not much so no two play alike....and it's some kind of builders sand, as a half decent golfer I found it very frustrating not to have consistency.
Fairways rock hard in places and socking wet in others
My favorite course at the moment!
I really enjoy this particular course and plan to play it as long as the weather holds.
Gllendoveer West
Beautiful day on a tree lined course. Fairways are narrow and the course plays fairly short due to somewhat hard fairways. Greens had significant slope and the pins were placed in challenging positions. Shot 77 (+6). Not bad for the first time on the course.
Hidden jewel
Great condition of course for lots of play. Well organizied
Very good condition
Noontime play and course was wide open we finished in 3 hours 15 minutes so able to beat rush hour traffic home. Greens were nice but slightly nappy with a bit of cratering around the holes so putting was very tricky but otherwise fine.
Greens fee too high for ourse conditions
Too many nicer courses around for the same price. Won't be playing here again.
Opportunity to score well
First off, got a great deal on GN - Thank you. I had shot my lowest score ever on the West course several years ago and I wanted to give it another go. I didn't do too bad this time either. The front nine is a little bland, but you can use this opportunity to make some pars without a bunch of trees getting in your way. The back nine is much more interesting and plays a lot like the East side. The course is relatively short and you can use it to possibly score lower than usual. Afterwards you can go to Von Ebert and enjoy an excellent craft brew and some good food. Good times!
crowded on Sunday
A lot of people play on the weekend since the course is right in the city Play during the week.
cold and windy
I used one of my Golfnow $10 discounts, so 18 holes walking was only $5. Cloudy, cold, windy but relatively dry for January in the northwest. Greens rolled well. Challenging conditions because wind affected the ball flight, but then isn't that what the game is about? Only few others on course so 2 hour 45 minute round, just how I like it.
Surprisingly Good Greens in Feb
This course is pretty straight forward and pretty easy for the better player. Its right in front of you. The front is much easier then the back.
Pace of play is rarely an issue. If you play early you can almost guarantee to finish under 4 hours (played in 2hr 30min this round).
The greens were in really good condition and fairly quick for February.
Only problem I wish they didn't raise the price so much in the summer but it's business I guess.
Can't reach anyone on the phone.
I've been trying to reach someone at this location to change my tee time from two players to 4 when I finally was able to reach someone today after days of calling during open hours I was told that they had a tournament on one course and all other space is booked up. Now I'm being told on the app that I can't cancel this reservation that I won't be playing tomorrow because I have more players than I have space for.
