A fun course
My wife and I went out to play 9 holes here and were pleased with the overall experience. Greens rolled true and were in great shape. The fairways had some seeding going on, but it didn't really affect play. Tee boxes could use some work as they were chewed up and mostly uneven. My wife only plays a few times a year and she found the course not overly challenging. Very few bunkers to worry about. Some water to carry at times and doglegs that make shot selection a premium. Pace of play was a bit slower than your average 2 hour 9. (we finished in 2:30) but we weren't pushed by anyone and although we waited a minute or two for the groups ahead, it was a nice enough day to enjoy.
Golf now deal was 15 for 9 each, which is more expensive then their hot deal of $10 for 18 later in the day which is weird, but whatever. We will return.
A good test
You will find this course difficult overall from back tees. From the proper tee for your ability it is a fun play
Nice Course, Poor Planning
Second time at Chili Country Club and the course is well maintained with a variety of holes. However, there was a tournament happening, so the pace of play was absolutely horrendous. If Chili is going to allow open tee times during tournament play, they need to do a better job of managing the pace of play. At the very least, make players aware of the fact that they will be playing in the middle of a tournament, prior to booking would be nice but not sure how feasible that is. I will definitely play Chili County Club again, but will be sure to call ahead to make sure there is not a tournament happening that day.
very good value
course was in very good shape. greens quick, but true read. lots of trees, wide fairways on most . fair course for all type golfers
Friendly
There is never a time when you play this course that the staff isn't friendly and accommodating. Vince always make you feel welcome and does whatever he needs to in order to make your round enjoyable. it is a great course for the cost.
first timer
great course, the greens were in great shape, the fairways were cut perfect, the roughs were not to high. I enjoyed the course a lot . I will be playing there again.I I think for the price you are not going to find a better course.
Club house poorly run with rude ignorant staff
The clubhouse am staff did not honor my 852 am tee time and was rude when I teed off solo on ten from an open box to avoid a line up of 4 4 somes on 1. They were rude inside and I started my round frustrated on they're accord. On the other hand the greens crew does a nice job they rolled fast and true and conditions were great. I enjoyed the golf. The crew inside running things I did not. Won't be back even for 10 bucks because of that guy.
cant beat the price
$15 for 18!!!! Very nice The staff were helpful and nice
it was ok
overall, I'd say the course was okay. The gentleman in the pro shop soft for young man and pointed us toward the worst carts they had. he gave us beat up old gas carts when they had electric ones to spare. mind you, we were the first tee time out at 7 AM in the starter gave us a hassle about having our receipts. The course itself was flooded and a handful of balls were lost due to plug in the fairway. The course itself was challenging, which I like. The layout of the course was fun. you can't beat $27 on a Saturday but due to the snootiness of the staff, I will not be going back .
Chili CC
I had fun, course was in the best condition I've seen it.
Enjoyable
This is my favorite course so far. Great staff keeps me coming back. Took a little longer than usual to play last time but that was because there was a small tournament there. Still, you can't beat the customer service you will find at this course. Highly recommended it.
Temporary Greens
The greens were just spiked and dressed. There was NO indication from the Manager to let the players know of the conditions of the greens or that there would be temporary greens being used on a number of holes.
Front nine went well, then??
After completing the front nine, we were surprised to find a long backup at ten. We were never told that leagues were scheduled to begin on the course before we would be beginning the back nine. We didn't have the six hours it would have taken to complete our 18 holes. We were very disappointed with our first experience at Chili CC as we had to leave so abruptly. When you plan to play 18 holes, there should be no surprises after you have only completed nine. NOT GOOD BUSINESS!
slow
Granted we played on a Saturday but for it to take over 2.5 hours to golf 9 holes is pretty ridiculous. No ranger was driving around to encourage quicker play. The groups in front of us were hitting multiple tee shots. It should never take over 5 hours to golf 18 holes.
Soaked
We took advantage of a good priced round, however due to the storm the course was soaked, drainage is poor around many fairways. The main complaint is not weather related however, the tee boxes are uneven back to front and side to side, it's often difficult to find level ground to tee off.
