Great for beginners or for working on short game
This is an executive course- so do not expect this to be Pebble Beach. This is a straight forward, short course as all hole are a par 3 or par 4 so you do not need driver for this course. Easy to walk as it is flat and not hilly whatsoever. The general condition is average at best, but they do keep their greens in very good shape. They typically roll at about an 8 on the stimp, and are not very undulating. Large PNW trees are really its only defense as some shots require placing your tee shot in spots so you are not blocked by large tall trees blocking your second shot. If you keep it in the fairway it is a birdie fest. I would highly recommend this course for beginners as it is not long and virtually no or few bunkers. This course is never busy, and locals are good about letting quicker players play through. I have walked 9 and played two balls on every hole and finished in just over an hour. The course itself is in the middle of condos, or small homes with no views of significance.
Quick nine at a nice, pleasant short course
Meadowlawn is a short course, but a nice walk. You can play a quick nine here; no par 5s, and a decent test of your short game, mostly.
OK ROUND FOR ME
MY PROBLEM WAS THEY HAD JUST
FINISHED APPLYING A SPECIAL GREEN FERTILIZER CREATING HUNDREDS OF HOLES ON ALL GREENS SO PUTTING WAS NOT A GOOD THING.
BESIDES THE BAD SMELLS
STILL IT WAS A DOABLE
ESP FOR US WHO ARE RESIDENTS.
BONUS FOR ALL PLAYERS TODAY
THEY PASSED OUT MONEY SAVING
DISCOUNTS FOR OUR NEXT ROUNDS.
Best small course
Wonderful place to play 9 holes tom is always very friendly and the players are always very nice never feel rushed !!
EVERYTHING WAS GOOD, BUT I BOOKED THE TEE TIME FOR THE HOT DEAL AND WHEN I WENT TO THE COURSE THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE A RECORD OF THAR BOOKING, SO FOR SOME REASON IT DID NOT GO THRU.??????HAD TO PAY MORE BUT WE HAD A GOOD TIME.
Best I have seen Best I have ever played it
with the exception of some cut grass left on the greens the course was in great shape. Greens rolled great Roll in the fairway was super. cut was great, no problems finding balls Shot my best today. Par is 32 and I shot 36. beat for this course for me Im usually around 40. As they tell me that is golf.
6.5 hours for 18
Can't really fault the pro shop, but the last 2 times I've played here, the pace was atrocious.
1. Had tee time at 9am, frost delay until 11am. Instead of shotgun start, pro shop started all delayed parties at hole 1. Gallery anyone?
2. Second time took 6.5 hours to play 18 because the group in front of us was so bad. Ranger was only seen 1 time in 18 holes and he did nothing for pace of play. Hot weather and no drink cart.
Bartender took 25 minutes to get us drinks and food after we had called it in on hole 8 coming into the turn. Not only did it take 25 minutrs, but she had no idea how to apply a coupon that we provided.
There are better courses in the area to spend 50 dollars on, I recommend them all except mcnary.
Nice course. Good value.
Nice little 9 hole course nestled inside a 55+ community between the interstate and Lancaster Avenue in Salem, Oregon.
Pros: well maintained, consistent greens, awesome pro shop staff, friendly players, good sized putting and chipping green.
Cons: driving range is a net. Residents living on course don't realize they live on a golf course and will come out of retirement to curse you, yell at you, and call the club house if they don't agree with the way you play. Face the wrath if you decide to grab your ball from an unfenced backyard or hit a tee shot into a house. White stakes are literally the line where backyard ends and rough begins. If you think you may be on the line, move your ball because Medusa herself will come out and tell you how to play a sport she's never tried.
:)
Fun, short 9 hole course.
I really enjoyed playing and walking this course. It was in much better condition than I expected, very well maintained and the greens putted and rolled better than some valley courses. Played 9 in an hour and 15 minutes and did not feel rushed. Fun morning exercise!
fun play
one thing about this golf course, they keep it in great shape. course is great for kids to play with an adult.
fun play
Took the grandson and the wife to play 9 holes on Sunday the 27th. We had a great time out on the course. was a nice sunny day. The course was dry but well maintained and watered. The greens were very fast but fun to play. It is a good practice course and great for kids who play with adults. I recommend to all to try this course if you have a chance.
