Santiam Golf Club

We had a good time on a perfect day of golf. Always a good time playing with my buddy. The course was in good shape and it always plays tough for me. The best part of the day was we were out playing golf!!!!

You can tell this course has been around awhile. It is a great throw-back course, tree lined and not particularly long yardage.

Must hit fairways off tee, otherwise you are punching out of trees all day (as I was). Great staff, and enjoyable round!

Great course. Wide fairways. Simple design but nice layout. Greens in good condition. Only complaint would be that they didn’t have course logo balls.

I booked a hot deal on Golf Now here and it was great. 40 bucks with a cart on a beautiful Sunday. Course is in good shape, greens roll true but are not to fast yet as we are just getting into the hot season here. They speed up as we dry out. Pace of play was good, we did have a twosome beat us to 10 at the turn and they rode us hard for awhile after letting us play through but it was fine we just felt a little hurried. Great fun, give Santiam a try.

This is my home course and I love playing there. I wouldn't give this course anything less than 5 stars. We played 9 on Monday and even with us being the first tee time after the tournament that they were having we never had to wait to tee off and we even got on about 15 minutes before our scheduled tee time. Greens were fast and fairways were perfect. The only this that was not good that day was my golf game. Man do I suck!

Normally enjoy this course however started out with the person behind the counter less than pleasant but everybody has a bad day. Three holes in we notice a sevensome just ahead (yes 7some). When we catch the twosome in between us they were told it doesn't matter because there is no where to go. They were right... there is a tournament that was miserably slow. Lucky for us at the turn the entire sevensome quit and a couple of holes later the shotgun start tournament wrapped up so we played extremely fast to finish. The greens were way to slow... needed to be mowed

Greens are in wonderful shape for November. Fairways also in excellent shape. This is probably my favorite course in the Salem area. Only issue - and this is no one's fault - is that I have played this course via Golfnow several times, and always go off by myself. This time, there were two fivesomes of members a few holes ahead of me, and I had to jog around from hole to hole.

We teed off around 10:00am. It got hot by the time we finished. The smoke from the forest fires in Oregon made the air quality poor. The course seemed to be rather dry.

Hate to say it but we are suffering in Salem from a lack of support for our golf courses, I play once a week atleast and 2 times a week when I can. It seems our local courses are lacking in support other than on weekends. Sad to say considering this is a great place to play.

Played this course numerous times. Love it minus multiple fivesomes on course. Not a fan of waiting for every shot I hit.

I really like this course. Many courses in the Pacific NW tend to be slightly shorter but lots of trees as opposed to courses in Las Vegas that are slightly longer but very little trees. This course has a good mix of both which translates to a golfer like me just having more fun playing it. I'm a senior citizen, a 17.0 index, who wants to have fun playing with a little bit of a challenge. This course has it.

I was in the area for work and had a chance to play at this course. I truly enjoyed the pace of play, location, views, and layout of the course.
