Excellent Course
The course was well manicured. Greens were challenging and a nice variety of holes.
Nice facilities and great grill?bar
Rangers were friendly and helpful
Would like to play it again,
S Dot
Course was a little wet. Fairways were just ok. Greens were rolling very nice, especially after all the snow we had recently. Love the three 9 hole courses and the challenge each course provides.
Comfortable
This is just a comfortable local public golf course. It's a little overpriced in my opinion. On the plus side there is 27 holes. Pace of play is just OK but I did see once they escorted an especially slow group off the course. There isn't anything terrible about the holes but also there is nothing really special about them. Just solid golf holes. Rumor has it that the course is sold and will be a 55 and over community with 9 holes of golf associated with it. With a shortage of public golf in the area this is not good news.
spur of the moment round
played limekiln on dec 26th it was pretty crowded and the weatherman didn,t live up to his promises of a 50 degree day................course was in decent shape for dec. and greens rolled pretty true...................... ground was had as a rock and greens were not holding any balls.................. all in all it was a decent day and a decent hot deal from golf now at 22$........................ mike g.
Great Value
This is a good course for the money. It's not to hard, but it is not a cake walk either. The fairways are a little burnt out and very hard, but the greens are in a good shape. The greens are a little slow, but that can be easily fixed. The course is quite walk-able and a great place for a relaxed round of golf.
Great Course and Value
One of the best kept course in the area. other courses in the area charge $20 more to play and are nearly as nice as Limekiln. Always friendly staff, great little grill/bar after the round. Greens were immaculate and the course is challenging but fair.
Hot rate of $27
I had not played Limekiln in years and was pleasantly surprised. Course was in great shape considering the lack of rain lately. We played in about three hours and greens weren't all that quick but they were smooth and consistent
Fathers Day.
For a Father's Day, pace of play was great. Ground was a little hard as well as greens. But in great shape. Awesome day!!!
Good ol' reliable Limekiln
My friends and I play here often mainly because the course is halfway between all of us distance-wise. The course always has a couple tee times open late in the week at decent prices. Course layout isn't spectacular but it is pretty wide open and very forgiving for beginner golfers. Rarely if ever will you lose a ball. The greens are probably the truest in all of Bucks or Montco and th staff if very accomodating and friendly. The last time we played as a twosome we got out early and were finished out front nine in a little over an hour. We were supposed to play the back nine on the Red nine but there was a couple foursomes backed up at the tee box. We went to the pro shop to see if we could tee off the Blue nine instead because it was wide open and were happily met halfway down the cart path by the pro shop attendant who already had a new scorecard in hand and was thinking the same thing. They always manage to try to get people in and out quickly and fit in people as best as they can through the 3 separate nine holes. Always friendly staff and although the course doesnt have a lot of spectacular holes it's always in good shape and we always keep coming back. Never a bad round after close to 30.
Great value
Ok pace of play. Great layout. Good condition.
Great condition
Hadn't played here in a number of years. Liked all of the changes made to the layout. Course was in terrific condition. Played 18 in just over 3 hours! Not the longest course but fairway bunkers and slope of greens did make it more challenging.
Lack of customer service
Got to the course an hour early due to possible rain. Asked to go out early , denied. Tee box was empty for the next 30 minutes. Next 30 minutes had 2 twosomes and a single. Still slow play. No thanks won't be back.
Nice course, extremely overpriced.
The course itself is very nice and well maintained. Last time out (about 2 weeks ago) we played the dreaded 3 hour front-9. It was backed up due to a an outing ahead of us, despite (a) there was literally no one on the entire course 3 holes ahead of us and (b) it's a 27 hole course, which should have prevented this problem to begin with.
The people who take your payment in the pro-shop are disappointingly rude sometimes, and often make you feel like they are doing you a favor by letting you play on their course, which is unbelievably overpriced as it is.
My friends and I go back because it is a fun, generally playable course for mid-high handicappers, and is always well-maintained. However, price and personality of the staff keep us from playing there more often.
Greens in great shape for December
Beautiful weather for December in Pennsylvania!
Was able to ride for a great price and the course was in great shape.
Limekiln
Great shape, a pleasure playing. We haven't played in a while. Surprised how nice it is .
Well rounded course
This course was in fine condition and varying elevation and angle changes kept it interesting and challenging.
This Course is a Home Run
There is a connection between baseball and this course. So, what better way to review than with using baseball language.
The golf experience was a homerun. From the minute I checked in and received a warm welcome to playing on a great manicured course. It was very easy to find your ball even if you hit a foul ball (in wooded area). The pace of play was good. I give this course an A*
That happened once with me at another golf course! Truly frustrating was the case! I wonder if there was an extraordinary reason for the staff to do that to you in that morning. Please forget "for get" something good that everyone else says this course is good in the New Year. Happy a very new year!
