Tee to Green
This is the 8th different course I played this year and besides the country club ( + $20,000 to join) that my son in law is the golf pro buy far this one was the best. Even the rough was cut at a nice height.
Planning on playing a few more times this year now that I’m a little more familiar with the course.
Fantastic muni course
I have been playing this golf course for almost 40 years now. It went from a general public golf course to an awesome public play golf course. Due to the conditions being so fantastic it does see a lot of play. The fairways look just like country club fairways. Greens were smooth and fast. There are a lot of hackers out there on a Friday Saturday and Sunday so pace of play could be slow. It’s a long golf course, challenging, but worth playing. Afterwords it’s a must to go into the Clubhouse Grille. You can sit outside by the parking lot or you can go to the front of the building and sit on the outside patio. I personally recommend the patio by the parking lot. You get to watch the number one and 10 tee box as well as 18th green. The bar restaurant inside, is very nice with numerous TVs. The bartending staff are out of this world. They are second to none
VERY WELCOMING!
From check in and the Starter, everyone was extremely welcoming, accommodating and helpful. It was an excellent experience and afternoon,
Greens rolling true
I play here a few times each year. Sunday was the first time this year. Impressed with the greens. They rolled true and were quicker than in the past. Many trees have been removed. Overall I wad pleased with the entire course.
Course not ready
Course not ready. Playing same 9 twice .not worth money
Early round
Grass is just starting to grow infor early. the course is completing some much needed course work and updates. bGC could be a great track if the improvements are completed and the greens match the other upgrades
Bethlehem Municipal
The course was in good shape
the leaves were cleared from fairways
there was some construction on a few holes and they had temporary greens
that was the only drawback
otherwise everything went well
Course is in awful shape now
This course was in great shape at the beginning of the season and now it awful. Greens are punched and sanded, hardly any grass on fairways. Not worth the 25 bucks.
Interesting and fun course with plenty of blind shots and altitude changes.
This was the first time played, so many of the shots had feelings of uncertainty. The location on a hill side has rises and drops leaving one wondering about target lines, yardage, and strategy. However, at elevation the course has many views of the surrounding areas. It's a challenging fun course I would recommend especially if you find a good deal; well worth it.
Good municipal course overall
No surprises and a decent round of golf. Course was in good shape, greens were good. Rough wasn’t too high, just enough to remind you you missed th fairway.
4 stars of Bethlehem
Good course. Traditional, parkland layout. Nothing too tricky.
Old facilities could use an update.
(A playing partner and local said the municipality would be spending $1.7 million on improvements next year.)
For me, not impressive enough to warrant my 1 hour+ drive.
Good to get out
I've played Bethlehem before and liked what I had experienced which is why I came back. The course is fairly maintained and greens are rolling pretty nicely. The starter was very cordial which is a good way to be when it is as hot it was. I wound up catching a foursome just before the turn. Very few of the 4 hit the fairway from the tee or the greens or near them on par 3s. If it wasn't as hot as it was, this might not have been as annoying. And they didn't want me to play through. Guess I could've skipped them but I don't play here often and wanted to see the entire course.
Good Course
They recently had quite a bit of rain but most of the course was in great shape. The greens were pretty fast and rolled true. Definitely will return
Excellent layout
Course is normally in fantastic condition. Greens are in great shape but some water damage in the fairways due to the large amounts of rain we have received in August - they are taking steps to fix the damage. Staff is helpful and friendly, and a full service restaurant on the premises includes a good selection of food and adult beverages. Do reserve a starting time in advance - the course has lots of outings and leagues most afternoons.
