Bethlehem Golf Club - Monocacy Course
About
Bethlehem Golf Club has both a championship course and a nine-hole executive course. The championship Monocracy Course is a demanding layout that will require the use of every club in your bag. Designed by William and Dan Gordon, the course is a local favorite that has a four-star rating from Golf Digest and has been ranked as one of the 100 must-play golf courses in the Philadelphia area. The par-71 layout stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. The par 3s and par 4s are long, and there are a few reachable par 5s if you can keep it straight. The golf course has a traditional design with narrow, tree-lined fairways. The gently rolling terrain has subtle changes in elevation that can cause some tricky uneven lies. Bethlehem Golf Club's undulating greens require accurate shot placement and they are often protected by strategically placed bunkers

Tee time was 2:15. Apparently leagues start between 3:00 and 4:00. At check in I was told there would be a long delay to play the back nine. My question to the course and or golf now is why offer this tee time if there are circumstances that create an inability to complete the 18 holes offered in a timely manor
Great Shape
Course was in great shape considering all the rain we had earlier in the week. Big storm the night before, so no carts were available and all golfers had to walk the course. Even so, I will definitely play this course again.
Looking really great!
Best condition I’ve seen at this course. I’ve played here for years and it is really looking great! The greens were all fast and true. If you haven’t played Bethlehem this year or you’re looking for a nice course, check it out. The restaurant is really good too. Plenty of people were there that weren’t playing golf! Overall, this course gets two thumbs up today. Enjoy!
Great Value
Just started playing this course recently and love the value, great layout with really cool green complexes.
Impressed
I always like playing here. Was the first time I've been to Bethlehem this year. The conditions exceeded my expectations. I'm impressed with how green and soft they're managing to keep the course with the lack of rain. Fairways were well defined and the greens were quick and true. I'll be back next week.
Great price BUT....
I’m all for people learning how to golf but the foursome in front of us was not only the worst with time management but just didn’t get the concept of golf etiquette. 18 minutes to play on a hole in 95 degree weather is a bit much to take. I know the course doesn’t know ability of golfers and everyone has the right to play but the rangers could have moved them along. So disappointing to waste a lot of time waiting on rude people.
Great Course
Great Track as always.
Great shape overall.
Bunkers still need a lit if work.
Nice course
It's a very nice course. The layout is good and in very nice condition. When we played the power was out but it didn't affect the great time that we had-we were just hungry when we were done.
Greens were exceptional had fun rolling in 30 foot par putts. Pace was slow but still covered 18 holes in 4 hours 20 minutes
Great way to celebrate Father's day
Tee off was 8:32 but went off at 8:20, pace of play was good and the course was in great shape. I will play this again my buddy & I had a great time and we were paired with a single Billy. What a great morning!!
Great course
Awesome course very clean fair play . A bit strict with but fair . Course wardens on front and back 9 to watch Pay place the four some infront of us was slow which caused a back log
I’d go again though
Average course. Rude Staff
Pro shop didn’t let my friend check in for the group, I went in and they didn’t ID me or anything so I have no idea how they figured I was me or what the difference was.
Starter was an unpleasant control freak. Pulled up carts and I was asked to back up bc he “wasn’t ready for us yet.” There was an unmarked orange cone by my back cart tire that apparently meant something. He made me back up the 3 feet so my cart was before the cone.
Beyond that it’s a simple layout with no water. Typical late 60s golf course. Decent shape besides wet conditions due to lots of rain in days leading up
