Worst course ever
The course is set on the side of a mountain, so the ball just rolls left even if you hit a straight fairway shot on what you think is a flat landing. This might be because there really is not a fairway. The "fairway grass" is worse than the grass in my backyard. Hard ground dirt with crabgrass on top. Tee boxes are so hard it took a couple tees to actually get one in the concrete dirt. This is why it's difficult to play. The greens are super fast and not maintained well at all. This is a 9 hole course with only 2 good holes to play which happen to be par 3. Id rather play chip and put than to ever play here again.
Poor staff and course
I made a tee time for 6am. The staff didn't show up until 6:30-6:45. Then the guy in the pro shop made it out to be our fault that we made the tee time so early. We explained that we used Golf Now to make the tee time. Then we had to hear about how that was above his pay grade and that they only open the course up around 6:30am. Plus there are only 9 different holes. You have to play the course twice. Which is fine however by the time we got around to hole 1 again we had to wait behind 4 groups of 4 people each. So that made the day very long. Further more, we had to wait around 5-10 after every shot because of how the course is laid out. Plus you have different groups jumping around from hole to hole so they don't have to wait. Which just ended up causing chaos around the course. Not only that the grass in the fairways haven't been cut for awhile. There were fairways that we were loosing our balls in due to the grass being a few inches high. The greens were very well maintained. However the rest of the course needed some help. Overall I would not play here again. If you are looking for a course that is complete chaos this is your course then. But if you are looking for a nice day of golf that is kept at an even pace all day this is not the course for you.
This course was made on the side of a hill. It has rocks in The fairways. As hard as it is to believe, this course is not worth $13 even with a cart
This course is on the side of the hill. It has rocks in the fairways and no grass on the tee boxes. The staff is very friendly but at $13 with a cart it's still not worth it. I'll never go back to this course again it's condition is just horrible.
Cheap course to get in good practice. However, don't follow their address!
Green Hills is a short but somewhat challenging 9 hole course. It is definitely not maintained very well but for the cheap price of play, it's to be expected. DO NOT follow the address posted in the site. Use 629 Golfcourse Rd. Birdsboro as your destination.
For the money good course to play
Even though you play these 9 holes twice for the 18, it is a long good course for those of us learning. For the price you can not beat it, and the hills will drive you back for more.
Tough course for high handicappers
For only a 9 hole course, by playing the different tee boxes the second time around, the course plays to a difficult 128 slope. Greens are in great shape, the course is narrow and hilly in some places and open in others. Great course if you like elevation changes, side hill lies, deep rough.
Great play for the money
I have heard some complaints about this course, but I decided to check it out myself anyway. Overall, it is not a bad course. The greens are nice, and the course is challenging enough. My biggest complaint is the condition of the tee boxes and the carts. I would prefer a true 18 hole course (here you play 9 holes twice), but for the money I really can't complain. I picked a good time and played when it was rather empty, but if someone were to play during peak time, the 9 holes could fill up quickly.
Good place to get a quick nine holes.
This is an old nine hole layout on the side of a mountain. Therefore, there are uphill and downhill lies from the fairways on six of the nine holes. The tee boxes are sparce and bumpy, the fairways have a variety of grasses, but the greens are true and fairly well maintained. There is an adequate range along the driveway. This course needs some TLC.
