Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort & Conference Center
About
Chestnut Ridge Golf Club first opened in 1964 and has since become one of the area's favorites. The club added a second 18-hole golf course, Tom's Run, in 1994. The Chestnut Ridge Course has a classic layout that is the shorter of the two courses. While it may be a bit less difficult, Chestnut Ridge has a playability that will appeal to players of all skill levels. The beautiful mountain views are what make this golf course stand out and there are also plenty of challenges in store including strategically placed bunkers and mature trees along the fairways. The course is also known for it great greens, which provide excellent putting surfaces. The signature hole is the par-4 14th. This risk-reward hole has a green that is not only situated above a lake but also bordered by a rock-faced wall.

great "fancy" course
second time playing this course. price and distance prevents it from becoming my go to place. great staff and course conditions. will be back for sure.
This is a must play course.
Tom's Run is a great course to play, especially at the golfnow hot tee time price. Course is in immaculate condition.
Bang for your buck?
Course could be a little pricey. Very easy to lose your ball in the first cut and was explained to me by a ranger that this is common. Fairways and greens in really good shape this time of year. Make sure you have your covers on. Cart paths are a mess. For a resort this is not acceptable for the price. Glad we had good weather. Guess I would recommend although was told by locals that cheaper rounds on other courses in the area abound.
decent greens.... too many barren spots along fairway..... as much weeds as grass off the fairways
anticipated playing the course but was disappointed by the poor condition of the course. will not be playing it unless conditions improve drastically.
Good time but don't like the changes
The course was in good shape but I enjoyed playing there much more before they cut down all of the trees. It took away some of the character and beauty of the course.
Great course at foothills of Laurel Highlands
This course is always a treat to play. In Western, PA, it should be in anyone's top 10 courses to play. It's an interesting layout, starting out with some very tight holes along the valley, that require target golf. Beginning with #6, the course opens up, while it gets much longer. From the tips, this is one of the tougher courses in PA. Greens, fairways and tees are always in excelelnt condition, although they usually play a little soft; something that contributes to the courses length. Holes 10 & 11 provide a beautiful view back into the mountain range behind. Play here when the leaves are changing, and you will get a real treat for the eyes. The day we played, conditioning was slightly below the typical Tom's Run standard, but this course is worth playing if you get the chance.
Great
Chestnut Ridge and Toms' run are beautiful courses, and a real value.
Tom's Run at Chestnut Ridge. (Better of the two)
Tom's Run Is a great course. Nice layout with many different types of holes with varying lengths that require different shot shapes. The course is maintained well above average. There were issues with gnats on holes 2-5; because they are tucked down in a hollow amongst trees and a creek I suppose. I played in 3 hours on an August Sunday morning. If they could guarantee me this, I would play here every weekend!
Awesome Course!
Tom's Run is outstanding! Had an awesome time playing here! Course is very challenging and a great test of skill! The greens were also fabulous!
First class
Upon arriving was greeted by bag/cart handler. Very nice and not pushy. Informed me where clubhouse was. Staff inside were super friendly. Course was in great shape, finished round in 4 hours. For the quality of this course, the price can't be beat. Can't wait to try their other course Tom's Run.
This course was in great condition
This is the 3rd time I've played the course and it is always in great condition. I would recommend it to anyone in the area.
