Champion Lakes Golf Course

From the time we got out of the car the personnel were friendly. The corse is in great shape and we had a great time even at the 19th hole. We will be back to play again.

Course is tough. Lots of slope on greens and very fast. Some narrow fairways. Usually I don't score well but it's a great challenge!

This is an absolute jewel of a course. For layout conditions and value you can't beat this course.

The course was in good shape dislike the heat wave we have been having. Play on this particular outing was slow due to golfers ahead not caring much about their pace of play.
A ranger could help this situation. The golf course is very challenging, many shots have to be placed in order to have a good next shot. Sand traps also make play very challenging.
Hats off to the chef in the club house. Lunch was excellent. I would highly recommend this golf course.

Really enjoyed this course & thought it was solid value. Pace of play really became an issue later in the round. Group in front of us hitting multiple balls & playing incredibly slow, group behind us hitting down impatiently. Pace would be only knock. Greens very fast, stay below the hole. Elevation changes make the course play tough. Aside from pace I really liked it here.

They sure do love their sand traps and fairway bunkers here! I hate the sand, but mostly because I never practice out of it and usually the sand is hard from past experiences at other courses. This sand felt as nice as the DR beach resort I was at last year! Ok, enough about the sand....the scenic views were awesome! You think they like sand here? Well, they also love trees, hence why it's so challenging. If you think a driver is a bad idea on a hole, then keep it in the bag! You can't just grip it and rip it from every tee box. I hope to go back with a couple of people to play with so I can soak in the course layout more!

For a public golf course, this is a shotmaking dream. When I played the course was extremely fast which made accuracy that much more important in all aspects. If you want to score low, you have to think ball position. Can't just pull out the driver and hope for the best. #13 is a perfect example, for long hitters, leave the driver in the bag and go with a long iron or hybrid off the tee. I'm sure this is a beautiful course in the fall before the leaves drop. Staff was incredibly friendly. Overall, I was very pleased and will definitely be going back.

Have played the course about a dozen times over the years and enjoyed the course each time. This year the grounds are in excellent condition, getting a little hard due to the weather, but very good condition overall. The course is challenging, especially a good tee shot is needed to attack the greens.

Great overall experience for the average golfer up!

Beside that the facility and bar/restaurant are friendly and well stocked with food and drink.

Would highly recommend Champion Lakes.

Champion Lakes is a great test of golf, although beginners might struggle. It is close to home, so I have been playing there a lot the past 2 years, but it is definitely worth a drive if you aren't close. Great conditions and a tough track - also a great value for the money.

It is one of the finest public courses in the tri-state area
The greens were exceptionally fast and true. I would play there many times again.

The scenery reminds you of the reason you play golf to begin with. To be outside doing something you love to do surrounded by beauty. Most enjoyable in the fall when the leaves begin to turn.

Nice course, predominately through trees, but open enough to enjoy. Nice varied elevations!

I was there on a Thursday morning and the place was a ghost town.I waited 1/2 hr for someone to show up to play with. The course was in country club condition. I was amazed. The price was fantastic for the condition of the course.

Good condition for early in the year. No water in some ball cleaners and carts were dirty.

Greens were in perfect condition, fairways perfect and bunkers good, but not perfect...If I lived closer would play here much more...4-some on front of me were a bit older and begrudgingly let me play through after 3 holes of waiting...but since I teed off at 10:15 on a weekday, played 18 in 3 hours still...love this course

Leaves just starting to fall. Ball in rough very hard to find.fairway and greens were very well maintained, with moderately fast greens. Lots of sand traps gaurding the greens, with very fluffy sand.

We had a wonderful day of golf and the course conditions could not have been better. The course has many holes that have narrow driving areas. The greens were very fast and in great condition.
